Who is the main antagonist of Mists!
My question is simple. Bc-KJ Wotlk-LK Cata-DW Mists-X solve for X |
|
80 Dwarf Warlock
930
|
Garrosh for Alliance
Varian for Horde |

Cataclysm: Deathwing
Wrath of the Lich King: The Lich King Burning Crusade: Illidan World of Warcraft main villain: ??? Why does this thread pop up EVERY SINGLE DAY?! Every day, someone asks this. I'm beginning to think I'm getting trolled. |

We actually don't know. People think it is the faction leaders because the expansion will focus more on the horde and alliance war, but this is just a major theme running through the pre-launch and the expansion. The final boss is probably going to be whatever made the mist that hid Pandaria in the first place, going by the title.
Remember, it is not titled Pandaria, but Mists of Pandaria. |

There won't necessarily be a single main, villain. overall the "war" will be the main antagonist for the horde and alliance. Like vannila was there will be varying issues that need your attention.

The other faction will be the antagonist, at least at first. If there is a REAL main antagonist, we'll find out who he is when the last raid tier hits the PTR.

i just feel like during wotlk your whole goal is to finally kill the lich king. in cata i feel like Dw wasnt that "bad". And i kinda liked how u needed to keep pushing to get to the lich king instead of a bunch of "baby" goals. like why do we have to kill al'akir? why Nefarius/Nefarian why Ragnaros? Who the hell is cho gall. Sinestra Nef Al'akir were mad or worked for or by dw i get that but they were far off from kill sinestra so you can get to DW.

I think they said it was going to be more like Vanilla. There were several Big Bads, but no over-arching bad guy for the whole Expac.
I mean, MC-Rags wasn't the "Big Bad", nor Onyxia, or whats-his-face in Naxx. I think that's how MoP is supposed to be. We'll have the Mantis dudes, the Sha, and the Mogu as three general bads, with the overall Faction War on top of it all. |

From what I gathered of the early announcements the emphasis on "World PvP" will be increased, meaning it will be a faction-based conflict (leaders or otherwise). Also, there will be a number of Pandaria-based baddies (new races and creatures) native to the area that we've never seen. Much of the whole Mists "saga" will be internal to that area with little crossover from earlier stuff which means at least some of it will probably be used as "seed" material for future content.

The opposite faction will. but you will have some less deadly but still deadly threats that both factions need taken care of.

I would say Hakkar the Soulflayer for the following reasons:
1: Hakkar is freed in Zul'Gurub and promises to see us again soon. 2: Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds says how 'the Soulflayer is not far behind.' 3: What was the point of having him in the 4.2 trailer if he did next to nothing in 4.2? 4: I don't have the link but somewhere on Wowhead I read that there will be a troll zone somewhere. |

I'll at least venture something here, though this question does get asked frequently.
Blizzard has already said that the main enemy is "us", meaning the ongoing and now increasingly heated battle between the Horde and Alliance that spills into Pandaria. Because of this conflict, we see the Sha, a shadow race that feeds on such negative energy. The faction conflict is nothing to sneeze at. Perhaps there will be some final Sha we have to fight, some gigantic representation of all the hatred and bile that spills from our conflicts. |
The Pandaren Emperor created the mist himself to keep out the Burning Legion and the other conflicts of Azeroth. |

Main enemy will remain a mystery until the last raid tier. Rather then know ahead of time who we are fighting, we will be going up against the unknown. Until we face the big bad, we get to deal with the followin (which could gleam information over time who the big bad is):
1. Horde v alliance and the races they are allied with (horde get ape like allies while alliance get fish people). Can take the form of fighting npcs 2. Zandalar island is in proximity of pandaria. They are the ones who wanted to forge a troll empire and revived zul aman and gurub. 3. Insectoid like beings that are hostile to other races called the mantid. They were sealed behind a great wall but recent troubles on the island made a hole in it. They also seem to be more hostile then they used to be. 4. Beings of darkness formed from coagulated negative emotions of denizens of the island known as sha. The pandaran kept them under control by limiting negative emotions in their culture. Then the alliance and horde come bringing war. 5. Mogu, the previous overlords of the island and an ancient oppressor of the island 6. Things they have yet to tell us about since much of this is new. |

Slyvanas and Garrosh.

I don't have the link but they said they won't put the main guy on the cover and that the main boss is just too epic to be released right away.
