Being farmed in the starting cave in AV
|
|
Ok I don't post on here often and I am only doing so now in the hopes that maybe, just maybe a blue poster will see this and maybe something will be done.
I was in an AV last night, and after a very powerful horde team lead by 2 sets of multiboxing DKs (that was amusing) decided they got bored farming the road at Icewing Bunker when the Alliance just stopped going there, decided to move up north, well that is all fine and dandy and we expected them to go into Dun Baldar and work on the boss, well they didn't. They came into the cave where a good amount of us were spawning from a resurrection pulse (the alliance starting cave mind you, the one with the obviously useless guards out front) and decided to farm anyone spawning in this cave for the duration of the BG, until they got all of their resources by killing us all in that cave. Myself and about half of the rest of the Alliance team was unfortunately in said cave. We spent about 10-15 minutes just being farmed over and over when the rez pulse went through. Most of us just stayed dead, what is the point when there are about 30 people mass aoeing in a cave? There is no way out of that. My point in this is that this needs to change, I don't mind a loss, but a loss because of this is insane. There are guards outside of that cave to prevent this... it appears that they haven't been buffed in a few expansions, and they obviously need it. So that is why I am bothering with this. Please buff those guards up so this doesn't happen to anymore people. Being that this is the first time in 4 years that I have ever seen this I can see why buffing those guards was overlooked, this obviously isn't a common occurrence. But for when it does happen, there needs to either be a way out of it (besides just leaving the BG) or guards to stop it. |

That's great. I support cave farming.

Blizzard should do one of 3 things:
-#1: HK's no longer give honour -#2: What wintergrasp does: you are invincible for a short time after respawning, basically preventing a team from being able to camp your spawn. -#3: Put a debuff on people that just rez, lasting for 20 seconds, that causes a "dishonourable kill" debuff to spawn on anyone who kills them, This debuff would remove all honour gains that person would get from the match. |

I don't have a problem with cave camping, but the Ally cave exit is a natural chokepoint, whereas the Horde cave is not. That's the only thing that's a bit unfair. However, cave camping happens so rarely , it's not worth making any changes imo.
The solution if you can't beat the cave campers is to just stay in the cave. You've already lost by that point, so just wait it out. The campers will get bored and move on to finish the game by killing Van. |

Blizzard should do one of 3 things: You are just delusional, and I've seen a few of your posts. The alliance crying about being farmed to hell in their precious AV, i taste delicious tears. |

/wave
You fell victim to the rathstrat- thats what you get for zerging instead of playing the game. see you next time :) |

Seriously stop crying. You lost a BG, queue up for another and do better in that one. |

Blizzard should do one of 3 things:1 and 3 are terrible ideas. I'm not against spawn immunity, provided there is also a debuff given when you have just spawned, that says you've just spawned, which wears off in 30 seconds. After that point, or if anyone goes into a spawn point without the "just spawned" debuff, they get instantly killed - regardless of team. But your first and third suggestions are just terrible. |

/wave omg, are you serious? I have all but given up on this toon (Alliance/Horde on Magtheridon seems pretty fun), but wow I may really need to get in on some of these. That's awesome. |

I was in that cave and Rath assured me that this was indeed our cave and not yours. He lied to me!!

I've always found the large-scale BGs to be a pretty assured win, and I'm all for the Alliance winning, but....
That's what you get for trying to mindlessly zerg. |

I would honestly love to know how the alliance team in the bg that I was in and referring to was mindlessly zerging, we were not in fact. We were wiped at Galv and then again at Icewing Bunker while trying to get through their offense. In my opinion that is not zerging, so unless you can actually understand what you are reading, don't waste your time with a reply.

So the "Rath Strat is posted publicly" You could look it up and build a counter strat. Its not like we go around hiding our objectives. You know the rules, learn to overcome.
But I guess its easier to QQ on the forums. |

If you think all rushing into Galv, to be wiped is NOT zerging, then you need to seriously rethink. Mindless offence is not the only way to play- in fact against any team with 1/2 a brain its a quick way to overcommit without proper recon and end up with your head in a noose. Which is the weakness the rathstrat takes advantage of. |

Actual PvP in AV? This is an outrage! AV is a PvE race!

Actual PvP I have no issue with, a turtle sure no problem, but this was not that. So really don't even try to compare this with "real" PvP.
