I can only dream.. :(

A long time ago there existed a game...called Asheron's Call 2. One of the particularly cool things I liked about it was each class had a class-specific weapon type available to them.

I would like to see that in WoW..other than obviously now hunters get all ranged to themselves..

Maybe like claws (intel and agi) for druids, polearms (literal, no blades, maybe a charm) for monks, hammers for pallies, double ended swords for warriors, grimoires for warlocks, wands for mages, holy objects (maybe like relics) for priests, totems (like Baine has on his back) for shaman, and since they are op already, quad wield swords (2 in each hand) for dks?

I agree with Rakarrak
But for Dks, they should have syths
Even tho it is a farming thing, they killed farmers in the starting zone.

i would think Paladins should probably get the famous 'scepter' weapon.
I had an idea of Warlocks having a 2-handed giant book called a Grimoire
Shamans having an actual big totem as a weapon would be viable.
DKs could have scythes (very death looking indeed)

IDK just some random brainstorm ideas off the top of my head...I know its doable, but I doubt there will ever be a large enough community push for it.

Stat bonuses to class specific weapons could be directly related to the class too like a Scepter could have +2% effectiveness of all holy-based attacks and spells. or something like that.

Do you even know what a grimoire is? It's a book! Ya that's what I want to do on my lock, throw books at people! Baine is a tauren, he would wield a rune spear not a "totem." Quad wield swords? No. Just no.

No, shamans would have claws. That's been the shaman weapon since WC3.

Druids of the claw used them too no?

But isn't he a shaman?

Anyway.

Shamans - Totems

Warriors - Lance

Dk - Those large swords with blades at each end yeah i don't know the name.

Locks - a demon skull?

Priests - a sceptar maybe

Paladins - Hammers of doom.

Mages - Super Wands.

Rogues - blades that are attached to their arms and are retractable kind of like the thing from Assassin's Creed

Hunters - Sling shot.

Monks - Tonfa

Druids - I have no clue.

A totem is a tool used by shamans to communicate with elemental spirits. It is not a weapon.

Play WC3, the shamans used claws. The totem weapon is used by the tauren basic units, they don't even have a class name, they're just called tauren.

You shush I want my shaman carrying a totem of doom :@.

Not to mention the Tauren Spiritwalkers added in the Frozen Throne most certainly didn't use totems in combat.

I know that the runespear was shatter. It still seems that what people are describing as a totem is really a runespear.

This looks like a black log covered with blue splotches and that is what you want shamans to wield as a totem weapon? And if totems were made a weapon what would happen to in game totems? It's llike Blizzard saying, "hey shamans we couldn't come up with anything better than shamans use totems so your totems are now a weapon? I would rather use a regular mace and keep my totems.
