Windwalk vs 130 agil
|
Sorry if this has been answered on the forums before, but I've searched for over an hour and haven't seen anything pertaining to this:
Has anyone done the math on which is better for a bear? My guild is getting ready to start Heroic DS so I'm looking to see which will give me the most survivability in the long run. Thanks in advance! |

even plate tanks dont get windwalk because its great... we get it because there is literally nothing else worth having on a 1hander :-\
get 130 agi |

On my last sim I would take about .03% DTPS more with 130 agility then windwalk.
In this case windwalk was better (albeit very very little), and it really comes down to where your dodge rating is at. Run some sims and find out for yourself, because it's going to end up a case by case basis. Neither of the enchants are bad for bears, but one will always be better then the other. (Mew has a great sim for calculating DTPS **Damage Taken Per Second**) |

Pretty sure TIB has a damage spreadsheet.
Pray tell, how much DPS would you gain when you go kitty with Windwalk? :p |

I want 130 of my best stat on my weapon. http://www.wowhead.com/spell=62257 umad? ----- Attack tables, CTC, diminishing returns and you! http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2489160859 |

I want 130 of my best stat on my weapon. But that one is so amazing that they can't give it to us! If they did, Blizzard would have to balance around the fact that all tanks use the same weapon enchant! ... Wait a second... |

The sad part about reading this forum is that you have paly's and warriors etc. commenting on druid tanking.
First of all 130 agility gives you .6 % constant dodge. .2% crit. and next to nothing in terms of ap considering 99% of ap comes from your health total. In all sims windwalk comes out ahead. Second it depends on what tank you are. If you are a main tank then no you do not want 130 agility you want windwalk. If you are the off tank then yes go with 130 agility since you will spend most of your time in kitty form. use www.incbear.com for information, not a palidan tank. |
|
why would a main tank ever go kitty?????????????? so they can lose all agg and ap???? Sorry if your a main tank then again you will not be going kitty. if you are a off tank then like i said you want the 130 agility.

I can not wait for pandaria to come out so all of you warrior tanks who cant keep agg without vigilance will shut up about bear cat tanking. Without vigilance you as a warrior tank would be nothing but a fail tank. Considering you have to have a nonstop taunt in your rotation to keep agg. |

Because "main tanks" don't tank 100% of the time either. If you're never going Kitty as a Bear for an entire instance, you're flat out doing it wrong, even if you're the only tank in the entire raid group. These "Warriors and Paladins" know more about tanking as a Bear than you do. |

"Main tank" is a completely dated concept in a game where even in encounters with one tank, there are dead periods where nothing tankable is up and you're just being a dps even in a tank spec (or alternatively, its a two tank encounter where you're not tanking half the time.)
I'm sorry that you think I don't know what I'm talking about, but I don't particularly appreciate you insinuating I'm terrible or an idiot when this is not the case. Additionally, I consistently talk with a large part of the bear and cat theorycraft community, and they would back me up on this particular point. |
