The amount of hate and thumbs down is unprecedented. Pretty amazing how people get so screwy of an opinion on a video game.

Seeing as how that guy started it, I wouldn't be surprised. Imagine if an EQ player did that to wow. How many thumbs down and hate do you think they would get?

i have zero issue with swtor cos i think it can co-exist very well with wow and others. it seems all gw fans care about is making sure wow is beaten. maybe its cos ex blizz ppl headed up the original gw and theres that underhanded rivalry.

That's why so many of the SWTOR threads here devolved into personal attacks. if someone even hinted that they preferred that game over WoW, people came out swinging like you'd just threatened to kill their puppy. This has played out with every major MMO launch, it will play out again with Tera, and yet again with GW2. For whatever reason, some geeks are prone to treat a difference of opinion as a grand betrayal. Not just gamers -- this gut instinct is the basis upon which most internet flamewars in fandom forums are built. |

well, first the video was mostly a joke, but if he was serious, his opinion is VERY weak as he got many things wrong like NCnet and arenasoft. So in the end, he was ether trolling the fan or was completely ignorant.
Second, how are GW2 fans any different from any other fans? fans are idiots and i think the term fandom needs to be changed to fandumb cause of the fanatics of anything be it WoW, EQ, halo, CoD, and especially music. The guy could be looking forward to GW2 but was wanting the troll the fans. There is a difference between really liking something and being a fan |
Are you serious? Some douchenozzle goads and taunts players of a game and you expect a NICE reaction? FYI, many things aren't original. But no game up until GW2 has put so many innovative concepts into a single game. Hope it works, I know I will play it barring unforeseen circumstances. |

One, that's youtube. Youtube does not represent the Guild Wars 2 fanbase. Two, I dare you to find any video where someone is critiquing a video game (like say WoW) and not find TONS of negative comments. Does that mean WoW fans are showing their true colors? No, of course not that's BS. Youtube folks in general seem like a very touchy bunch so I never take comments there seriously.

That vid can't possibly be real. I mean there is so much just blatantly not true that I refuse to believe the maker of the video is that much of an idiot. He probably just did that because he knew a lot of people would go nuts and he finds getting reactions like that amusing.

I think its because hes just contradicting himself alot.
1. Yes its not instanced anymore. Its a MMO its not suppose to be. If you want a henchman play Skyrim or hey even a ranger. 2. Cross profession doesnt work. Its makes the game terrible unbalanced for PVP. 3. He says Eye of the north was a awesome and beautiful expansion but then says "SO there still using the same character models and graphics engine" as if its a bad thing.. When he clearly just said there game was awesome. Thats just 3 of the things i thought were ridiculous. Just another WoW fanboy you is afraid GW2 will kill his game. |

For someone who apparently plays a lock, he sure doesn't know how they play. They play only similarly to necromancers, and that's because they're both caster/pet classes. Other than that it's quite different.
