Why do we not practice it as Argent Dawn EU does?

Merik is Moon Guard's Mad Scientist and invented the Brain-o-Plasty, the Secret Lab is his.
Eshkandar (I forget the name..) conquered Naxxramas. This is true and widely accepted. |
Yup. Mana cannon for example. Interesting idea but some players would rather just have the destruction be the result of a Deathwing flyby. Although, we technically did have some server lore by shutting down Westfall due to quarantine. |

Same reason they have a European Union and we just have NAFTA.

The only truly undisputed fact on this server, is that Eldanesh may have conquered Naxxramas. Or not. He was certainly probably in the first group in any case. Naxxramas fell, and he was somewhere nearby, that's definitely true. |
Sadly, Moon Guard will never be Argent Dawn, the mecca of role play for WoW; however, Moon Guard is special in its own way, and has its own server lore, just like you've seen people talking about. Yup. Mana cannon for example. To be fair, and to quote Annexious, the Mana Cannon was never intended to work. Ever. It was--if anyone read his short story that was posted--fired up, and exploded, taking out many of the members of the Will of Dath'remar in Azshara. I believe it also caused Annexious to lose his power with wielding the Light. (This is back when he was a paladin) Now, my own guild--we're recreated Sunfury. We're currently trying to get coordinated with a bunch of other guilds A/H side because we have ideas about a Mana Cannon 2.0, and a few other nifty gadgetry ideas for warfare. For us to be in server lore would be amazing. |

You can read the 100% lore accurate story here. http://www.threadmeters.com/v-3jNj/The_Light_Unbound_Naxxramas_Conquered/ |

We can't have detailed server lore like AD because most people on this server are too busy fighting one another over every little detail and trying to debunk achievements for the sake of crying someone is just trying to make their character more special than theirs.

The mana cannon was a good example of why we don't have server lore. The cannon was never intended to work, but the very idea that a guild could change/add some lore created a mob in the community. However long it's been, and people still bring it up mockingly despite its intended RP plot.

We do practice some server lore, the undisbuted broken doll has made it's effect on this game. The white plague also sticked about. Not all of us sees this though.

Fanon should never overwrite canon, though. I wasn't around for that incident, but I think that was the main argument against it. (Assuming it actually worked, ofc) Adding fanon that doesn't interfere with the canon in any way is perfectly fine by me, but getting everyone to agree to it would certainly be the hassle. |

Dirkaan is the first ever undead orc paladin.

However long it's been, and people still bring it up mockingly despite its intended RP plot. I agree. But the cannon never was going to work. It being intended to work was made up by the community and spread like wildfire, destroying the facts of the situation. I would imagine the same thing would happen to others trying to do the same, minus a few rare occasions. The fact that this realm is so large, as stated, doesn't help either. |

What's a mana cannon?

Our server lore is epic. Much like blood, sweat, and tears.
