nobody remembers me I remember you. :D You showed me how the warlock helm spreads wings when you jump! And I agree, roleplay on Sentinels is long gone. Lord knows we in Miseria have been trying to bring it back in Silvermoon City alone through events and random walk ups, but to no avail. A migration to Wyrmest Accord is planned for the future. However sad it might be to leave the familiar behind, I look forward to the roleplaying opportunities! |

For some reason I was trolling the forums. Haven't looked in well over a year. I see some old names. Quillathe for one :)
My video of the AQ gates opening is still on youtube, though they yanked the audio soundtrack :( Mari, Oakheart, Xenu, the raids on Tauren Mills... I miss it a bit. Well, enough to find a way to get a scroll of resurrection and check things out. The game itself seems to have taken a... childish turn with the "Pandoria" expansion (What happened to the tree of life and all that?!) Here's hoping a few people remember me! Maybe I'll see you in game over the next week while I debate paying for another month! |

Hey Mebane! Of course I remember you. :-)
We're still playing - lots of your old associates. Myself, Greylon, Brudelak, Baene, Kennym, Telandris/Erestor, Aamaru, etc. We will always have a connection here on Sents. We don't play nearly as much as we used to, but we are all still together and having a blast! Feel free to stop over and say hello sometime! Q- |

Hey Mebane! Of course I remember you. :-) Send me a note in game how to reach you! If nothing else will be fun to reconnect a bit! My attempt to RP Mebane freaking out in the Dwarven bank didn't work. I was largely ignored :( I'm also hopelessly lost. I realized it's been closer to three years since I was active in any way, and much of the game doesn't make sense anymore. |

Wow - this thread brings back great memories!Talins. I remember his first day on Acies. How weird is that. |
For some reason I was trolling the forums. Haven't looked in well over a year. I see some old names. Quillathe for one :) Hello Mebanebuzz! I remember those raids on Tarren Mill too. World pvp was fun back in the day. I honestly haven't pvp'd since! As far as RP in this game, I would have to direct you elsewhere. Sentinels, as a community, lost its pulse a long time ago. And the way the game is played has changed quite a bit too. I agree about the Pandaland expansion. It's just too weird. Personally, I'm playing casually until it's release, them I'm signing off WoW for good. Until then, I'm doing the things I generally like, dungeons and trade-skilling. So, if you're tempted, and for what WoW is like now, the game is reasonably entertaining. For the time being, anyway. To get the most out of your time, I would suggest a different server though. |

For some reason I was trolling the forums. Haven't looked in well over a year. I see some old names. Quillathe for one :) I still don't see how anthropomorphic pandas are childish. You have a gnome with reddish/pinkish hair. I have a talking cow-man. Elves, dwarves, magic, etc. etc. It's hardly any different than what's currently in the game. |

How many people do you know that think Night Elves are *!%@ty? How many do you know that respect and like Night Elves because of their basis in Korean culture and that appreciate them based on their architecture and cultural identity?
For some, Pandas are going to be childish in the same way that Night Elves are strippers. It's a matter of how they are received by the audience and what they will be known for in the future. I guarantee you that in a few weeks after MoP is released that there will be plenty of videos on Youtube representing them that way and they're going to be known for being childish in the same way that Hunters are known for being idiots because the class is supposedly easier. |

Holy crap. Quillathe, Erestor, Mebanebuzz... those are some old Tree names. Talk about blasts from the past. I was wondering when this nostalgia-fest would actually involve people I knew.

How many people do you know that think Night Elves are *!%@ty? How many do you know that respect and like Night Elves because of their basis in Korean culture and that appreciate them based on their architecture and cultural identity? Still. You're defaming something as childish when you're surrounded by those same elements. It's completely illogical. It's an opinion and to each their own, but still illogical. |

*Shrugs* Statistics show that the average age of each faction is the same, yet I always hear someone saying that the kids on the OTHER team in a battleground have gone to sleep or that they are all children. This happens on both Horde and Alliance, on every server I've played on.
This isn't true and even looking into it a small amount provides conclusions otherwise. The thing is that it's easier to label something than to really understand it, which takes significant time and energy that not everyone may be interested in putting forth. It's a relic of "this other tribe is all horrible demonic monsters but don't worry cuz we r teh gud gaiz because we were blessed by the sun god!" This is also why I hate trade chat and never join it unless I have materials that need to be worked into something like a belt and Silversol isn't online. |
