I just never have used the skill yet, is there a time in my rotation that i should be using it over fire bolt?

Could make an argument for opening with the unglyphed version for the snare while soloing, but other than that, yeah, as Peach said, only frost uses it.

Most fire mages open with pyroblast. Slowing the enemy down is silly when we can burn him to death before he can reach us.
