The Technical Support thread is filling up with posts saying the lag is horrible and has been for days now.

People have posted trace routes and path pings, showing that the problem is Blizzard's ISP, ATT.

Even all that, we have yet to hear anything back in the form of a blue post even hinting at contacting ATT to get the issue resolved.

Look, I know my measly $15 a month is nothing, but I'm not the only one affected by the problem.

Please take care of your customers.

This can only be resolved through Tech Support.

That being said, do you all have something else in common? Because I have noticed zero change in lag in the last week.

While yes it might effect a large number of people.. its not by far the WHOLE population of the game. Myself as well, do not have a problem.

This could mean it somethting between a particular ISP and ATT.. could be a node down inbetween a path that particular users take and others do not, etc.

You know, I've noticed this too.

Since the patch, I've been getting lag and going DC alot. This has never happened before.

I've done everything I can think to do from my end as it actually didn't even occur to me that it was patch related until seeing this thread. My husband downloaded the patch as well and has had no problems, so I assumed my computer must be having issues.

However, I can't think of anything else to check. Ran virus scanners, dumped cookies, turned down graphics etc etc.
It's very frustrating as I keep DC-ing while raiding or lagging out so badly that I can't function.

Have you updated addons? Those are kind of notorious for causing lag issues after a patch. Especially since your husband isn't having issues, it sounds like it is something specific to your set up.

I will check Diamora. I did update my addons last week, but that was before the patch.

Thanks, that is one thing I had not thought of.

Hi Rose,

There are two addons that you may want to check out, the first is called Titan Panel, with this addon there is function in it that shows memory usage for your highest memory hog addons. this may help you figure out which addons are causing you problems.

The second addon is called Addon Control Panel. Using this you can enable and disable addons one at a time while in game or quickly figure out which addon is causing your problems. This has helped me numerous times in the past to figure out which was causing WoW to break on me.

The flaw in your logic is that there hasn't been a patch. The most recent patch was 4.3.3, released Feb 28. There was a minor launcher/tools update the other day, but that affects the launcher only. The game has not been changed at all. Also, neither I nor any of my guildies or friends have had any kind of lag in the past couple months.
