Suggestion: Rank "change" instead of current
|
Before, ranks were rigidly structured in a linear fashion. If you wanted to increase someone's rank by three steps, you had to promote, promote, and then promote them.
Now, you can simply pick their new rank from a drop-down box. Guilds can have a rank structure that is not in a straight line. For example, a guild can have two ranks that are essentially equal but are called different names for whatever reason. However, when you change someone's rank, the message that is listed in the log and also sent to guild chat is "<Guild Member A> has is promoted|demoted <Guild Member B>". I suggest that this message be changed to "<Guild Member A> has CHANGED THE RANK OF <Guild Member B>" Yes, it's nitpicky. But saying someone has been "demoted" has negative connotations, especially since the new rank may not actually be a demotion, but rather a reclassification. Maybe the rank has changed from Raid Team 1 to Raid Team 2. Equal ranks, but the system won't see it that way and will spit out the message of a demotion or promotion. Therefore, I think a wording change would be appropriate. |
