Seems a fair question to me! When you are typing in the text field for a reply (or a new thread), click on the sword icon above the text field. It will ask for the item ID number. You can find that by looking up the item in the search field of the WoW webage, going to the item's page, and then looking at the numbers at the end of the URL string.
So, for Dazzling Longsword, the page is http://us.battle.net/wow/en/item/869 so the item ID is "869".
It's only as valuable as the person is willing to pay for it.
Twink tanks may place value on it, but the person that may place even more value on it are the ones who may want to use it for TransMog.
As around in trade and see what comes up.
Also, I'll fire up my WoW and see where Auctionator places it's value.
As of this edit (April 25 at 11:32am CST) my Auctionator has it valued at 999g 99s 97c
So, that may be a starting point.
