[H] Ascent 8/8H-25 LF HoPal/DK/ShP/Mage mists

Ascent is currently recruiting for 25-man raiding in Mists of Pandaria. Ascent is a progression raiding guild on the Thrall server. (US-PVE EST) Ascent was originally formed in Everquest in 2001. We formed on Medivh at WoW launch where we had the world first Ragnaros kill in vanilla and led the first AQ-40 Gate opening effort on our server. We transferred to Thrall before TBC launched. http://ascent-thrall.guildlaunch.com We raid Tues, Thurs, and Sunday nights 7:30-11pm EST. (Atm raiding one night a week, alt stuff on the other nights) At the moment we're really looking at exceptional players regardless of class. Particularly a Death Knight, Shadow Priest, Mage, Rogue and Elemental Shaman. Feel free to touch base with an officer about recruitment. Looking ahead to Mists we're also interested in a couple individuals who may be looking to swap to a Monk. We have completed 8/8-Heroic 25-man Dragon Soul. Our Heroic Madness 25 kill was March 1st, good for US 79th in 25man. We were 7/7-Heroic (25man) in Firelands. All the 6/7 kills were completed 25man before the Sept. 20th nerfs and Heroic Ragnaros (25man) before 4.3 nerf. Our goal is to foster a fun and drama-free raid environment, in which we will strive to defeat the hardest raid content in the leading wave of progression. What we're looking for in a potential member: * You should be level 85 and geared for raiding. At this time this means a 400ish item level and preferably at least 6/8H or have very deep Dragon Soul experience. * You should be able and willing to put in the time and effort that raiding requires. This includes already having baseline raiding characteristics: min/maxing your character/spec etc. * You should be overly familiar with your class mechanics. This is not an environment to learn how to play your class/spec. This is already expected. You should probably also be familiar to some extent with your offspecs. We promote a team atmosphere. The goals of the guild and the raid supercede that of any individual. Progression is the goal, not gear. Gear is the means to the end. We require a high level of attendance. We do not raid very many days a week, so we expect everyone to be able to make all of the raids, besides normal things that pop up. (Vacations, Illness etc) Members must be mature and responsible. Disruptive or disrespectful members will not be tolerated. Everyone wearing the Ascent tag represents the guild and their fellow members. Part of the enjoyment of a guild, raiding or not, is enjoying the game with your guildmates. We want the playing experience to be enjoyable because of your guildmates, not in spite of them. We will require an authenticator of some type for raiders. (blizzard, droid, iphone etc) Persons who feel they meet the above criteria should fill out an application. Your application may be the first indication we see of how dedicated you are. The amount of work you put into your application will show, so please take your time. Hi, I have a 396 prot pally, 395 ret spec. I like to think Im a competent raider 4/8 HM in DS from a really low population server. Im looking to transfer and your guild seems ideal to me, I do have questions regarding raid times but I'd appreciate if you could get back to me. Thank you for your time. :)
