Has the Hour of Twilight Come?
*SPOILERS*
So if I'm not mistaken, wasn't the point of the Hour of Twilight to kill the Aspects and then bring about the death of all life on Azeroth? If so, then didn't it occur at the end of the Madness of Deathwing? The aspects have lost there powers, they're just regular old dragons now. What if, while Deathwing was fleeing for his life, after what he thought was the failure to bring about the Hour, the Old Gods simply switched their game plan? They knew that if Deathwing were to unleash his full wrath, that the Aspects would have to give all their power to stop him, so when Deathwing fell in the Maelstrom, they gave him a bit of a jump start. Now we have no Aspects, the beings the Titans themselves made to guard the world, and all the Old Gods lost was one of their many MANY servants. Are we in serious trouble? |

While awesome, Thrall isn't exactly an Aspect, he subbed in for one, but he was no where near their strength.

The Aspects gave up their powers too soon, though you would never know it from the actual characters.
Twilight of the Aspects talked about how the Aspects were the only thing that could stop the Old Gods. Cata's ending was all NOPE MORTALS. |
I think the important thing to remember here is that we (The Mortal Heroes) are the sole reason Deathwing is dead. Considering that if we wernt there for a moment, The aspects would not of survived past Ultraxion.
Hence 'The Age of Mortals'. There are very few immortal beings still present on Azeroth now. |
one thing that bothers me is didn't the titans give the aspects their powers to stop this event....but then why give deathwing his in the first place

Perhaps this was an event that simply had to take place or else something would happen that could end the universe. |
Unfortunately. The devs love pulling a Tolkien in every possible scenario with every possible immortal race. And look where it's gotten us:
Night elves turned from an awesome, militaristic society into a society led by a giant quarter-bird, quarter-tree, quarter-stag, quarter-elf hippie who keeps Tyrande in the kitchen Lol Night Elves. I don't even want to fathom the lore justification behind myself (belf warlock) now that the Sunwell is, well, a SUNwell. |

I don't even want to fathom the lore justification behind myself (belf warlock) now that the Sunwell is, well, a SUNwell. Imagine having steroids and another substance that would make it so there were no adverse effects. They didn't take away your ability to use demons. They just took away the side effects of Fel-Magic. |
Imagine having steroids and another substance that would make it so there were no adverse effects. But there has to be SOME problem behind being fed by light magic, yet using fel. It's like if Michael the Archangel could summon demons to battle evil. |

Imagine having steroids and another substance that would make it so there were no adverse effects. Maybe they'd use the light to bind and force the demons to obay lol. Although I'd like to see what the opposite of a Warlock would be. A priest type with holy minions. |
The sunwell is both now anveena was arcane but to reignite the sunwell Velen used a naaru to do it. It was a side effect of the re ignition. Plus the blood elves are doing a 180 well trying to because lets face it until lor'themar appoints a king or becomes the king or does something the blood elves are doing nothing. |

I hope they don't. I want a High Council for them.Lor'themar Theron Halduron Brightwing Grand Magister Rommath Aethas Sunreaver Lady Liadrin Voren'thal |

There are still quite a few immortals out there... the Ancients for one, Elune, the draenei (who seemingly don't die of old age), Azshara, demons and elements, and possibly Medivh, who may or may not be dead
Medivh is going to have to get his feather butt out of retirement soon =D
I don't care if he joined the "legends of the past", cause the "legends of the present" are going to start killing the crap out of us. |

Immortals are not fun, the less the better.
