So here it goes. I'm simply going to get down to what happened so you all have a fair warning on pugging with this guild.

Wrath of the Unchaining drops and only myself a (rogue) and hunter are eligible to use it via the loot rules that were stated initially during the run MS>OS. Usually a non shady RL will post the item in RW as soon as he can open the chest so loot can be distributed asap so we can finish the raid as soon as possible. Well needless to say the RL (Vurb) took at least 2 minutes after linking the items to tell the raid to roll. My guess is he was talking in gchat or whispers to his guildies who were in the raid over wether he should ninja the item or not.

After the long wait he links the agi trinket and says he's rolling on the trinket as boomy because he only had the 390 LFR version. When the hunter and I asked why he was rolling on it as a caster he said, " I didnt know I was supposed to tell you im here as MS feral". When I told him that it wasn't fair to roll on it because he hadn't mentioned to us that he was coming as ms feral he replied with " I won the roll get over it", and the usual !@#$ style raid leading "if you dont like it leave".

So in short, he will choose a spec that is convenient to the loot that drops and will roll on it. If he losses the roll I'd likely bet that he's going to take it anyway. Below are the sreenshots and sorry for the poor quality.

Did you open a ticket about it?

Doubt it will help any. Blizz will likely say that the master looter holds the power to dictate who gets the loot regardless of the spec and class.

Well.. loot rules was stated correct? and they didnt say any loot was reserved when posting the loot rules.

Thanks for the info Azinea. But I'm almost pretty sure Blizz is going to give me a flat "no" being as he was the ML. Unless anyone else has had a similiar situation where blizzard ruled in their favor when they were ninjad?

Honestly, they wont rule in your favor. I have a ticket that says that "ML > OS is too vague for loot rules." Not quite sure why loot rules stated that way used to be grounds for ninjaing and now it isn't, but it is what it is. Thanks much for giving us a warning =)

No problem Thunderwolf. I rarely if not ever make forum posts. But if there is one thing that gets under my skin it's a blatant ninja.

And they get really sneaky about it too. They roll on loot for each other so they can trade it later thinking nobody is going to notice.

this guy is hysterical.

Preystalker, that whole guild has gone backwards in the last couple of weeks from what I have heard. They recently did a merger with another guild, and since then, I have heard nothing but bad things from many people, including some of their ex members who left because they were fed up. But if it's worth anything, their greed isn't just against people outside the guild, they also stole from their own as well.

im greedy i stole oh man lol this is real life i cant believe it! they r so crazy and corrupt bcuz bad people ninja gear! go outside and then u realize none of its real!

First... Its not fair to say the guild ninja's at all. Anyone that knows me or the GM that is not ok nor is it allowed. Now.... Based on your post alone that you wrote from your perspective, it seems shady until you armory Vurb. He is main spec feral. He was not misleading on that.

I do think that Vurb should have stated that his MS was feral and he wanted to roll MS because the only reason he was using his OS was for better grp comp. Now, he was NOT in gchat asking if he should take because I was online. I would have kicked him if he even asked that. Second, before you label a guild, talk to the GM and let them deal with it before you label ALL guildies as ninja's.

A mature aspect to take is that Vurb made a mistake on communication. Your right he should have stated that he was rolling MS and why. The guild will speak to him and deal with this issue.

Outraged DOES NOT agree, allow or condone with members ninja’ing of loot. Heck, we had 3 leave this week because we let pugs roll on loot and the guildies wanted us to give it to them.

That isn't ninjaing but it is messed up. Changing your MS in mid raid from Caster to Damage is frowned upon, but it was YOUR responsiblity to clarify that before the raid started. You needed to ask, "Is everyone rolling MS on loot based on the spec they're raiding in currently?"
If you don't get responses in the raid chat then leave. Yeah it seems anal, but you HAVE to specify.

Doesn't matter, one guildy makes it look bad for the rest of the guild. Your players represent your guild and what they stand for. People are free to do what they want, but the name is forever tainted. WTB guild name change? lol
