In raid finder today, my first time really raiding. I was really nervous and trying to do well for the raid. Each boss kill and each time gear would drop "Softly" won. Instead of hording a trinket and two set pieces this person gave them all away.

I've never seen something like this in any game before. Cheers to good people in the world. Next week if anything i win in RF, i'm giving it away.

Salute. WoW does have good people.

Thanks Shattered Halls and Softly.

So nice of him to manipulate the system and give gear to whomever he felt deserved it.

You were obviously on the receiving end otherwise you wouldn't be on your knees in our server forums.

As far as I'm concerned, if you win a roll you can do what you want with it

Bad phrasing by me, it's not really "manipulating". What I meant was is that the overgeared guy rolled on it to give it away, and clearly gave it to the OP. Had he done the same and given it to someone else, this would probably have been a nerd rage post.

There is a lot of reasons why he might have given the item to him. I was actually in a situation where someone had given me an offhand after they realized they didn't need it, and someone else had noticed they had given it to me and they started to call me a jackass the rest of the raid.

Giving a player choice in who gets the item can end up being a good thing or a bad thing, but rolls don't have a brain. They can't decide who can best use it; people can
