<Nostalgia> is a horde guild focused on raiding Wrath of the Lich King content at level 80.
We are currently recruiting DPS and Healers!
The main goal of this guild is to do Wrath of the Lich King raids at Level 80 with gear that was only obtainable in that expansion. Sure we could all just buy a bunch of Cataclysm green's off the Auction House and maybe call it good, but that pretty much defeats the purpose entirely. There will be some limitations and some exceptions when it comes to finding a middle ground between Wrath and Cataclysm.
I spent some time into deciding whether to make a raiding guild for Level 70 or Level 80. As you can see, I chose Level 80 for several reasons. The biggest reason is because there is a whole lot more Achievements in Wrath than there was in Burning Crusade since they had just come out with them towards the end of that expansion.
People love Achievements. And with those Achievements come titles, mounts, companions and various other rewards. In the next expansion, Mists of Pandaria, it has been rumored that Achievements will become account wide and not just for a single character. One particular achievement I've wanted to get is Herald of the Titans. You don't see very many people with this title. Another goal of this guild is to get this title. In order to do so, everyone in the raid group has to be Level 80 and can't be wearing any items with a higher item level than what can be acquired from Ulduar 10 man (armor with item level 226 and lower; main hand, off hand and ranged/relic with item level 232 and lower) and defeat Algalon the Observer. So not only are we going to need to get a set of gear that is Icecrown Citadel ready, but we'll also have to work on a set for this achievement.
Level 80 also opens up 5 more talent points (36 in total) that you can spend in another tree. There are also some key spells and abilities that players will learn between the levels 70 and 80. Overall, I feel that raiding at Level 80 would offer not only more of a challenge to members but would also be more rewarding and fun.
Currently we're very small so will just be focusing on 10 man regular and heroic content. Later on if we end up getting more people joining us we can move up to 25 player regular and heroic content.
