So I have the card all packed up ready to ship now. I popped in Neverwinter Nights to see if it would play with nice with Windows 7 and it has so far. It has some impressive hardware requirements. Pentium III at 800 MHz, 256 MB RAM, 32 MB video card >.>

Kalg are we likely going to see another pricecut by AMD because of the 670?
There are already some price cuts active right now.
Radeon HD 7970 = ~$450 Radeon HD 7950 = ~$380 Radeon HD 7870 = ~$320 Radeon HD 7850 remains the same. |

So still no changes in recommendations in the $300-400 range?
Nevermind, just say you recommend Radeon 7870 for low $300. GTX 670 still for upper. I'll probably be going GTX 670 then in the summer, LOL |

Then it should be DirectX 11. There is nothing special that needs to be done to make DirectX 11 work AFAIK.
Just use DirectX 11 mode as normal in WoW. As for "forcing", did you go to Catalyst Control Center and change any settings? |
Okay, try my other tips and see if it helps.
I might. Probably add it to the end as an addendum.
Hm.
Have you tried out any other games and see if they also exhibit low FPS? Is VSync turned on in either Catalyst Control Center, or within WoW? |

Turn VSync off
Hey Kal you helped me a few days ago in a different thread. I figured I'd ask here instead of making a new thread. Not sure why people think it'll be in 600s. It's just a GTX 670, not a GTX 680. Why would it cost MORE than a GTX 680 by miles? >_> $420 is the official MSRP price set by ASUS. But if you don't want to wait, you don't have to. You can probably OC your GTX 670 and achieve a similar result. |
