Breadisfunny:

If this is about Oblivion, I have no idea. Especially when mods are involved.

Rellank:

No, it's not that difficult, and special help is not necessary in general. From many first-time builders I've seen, most frequently asked one was what and how to connect the tiny wire cables that come from the case. That one is no-brainer once you read the motherboard manual once more, and knowing that the side of the wire connector has a V or other mark to indicate which side is positive polarity.

As for the build video, go to YouTube and look for "computer build video", as well as NewEgg build videos.

Oh.

In addition to VSync, WoW has maximum FPS limiter in the graphics option. If this is enabled, WoW will force certain level of FPS.

i5-2400S? Any reason you picked it over i5-2300 or i5-3450? :o

I would go with more trusted name brand for the SSD. Not saying AData is trash, but I'd rather trust my data with more reputable vendors.

Is this Kingwin 80 Plus Bronze certified?

Otherwise, looks good so far.

Unless you also need keyboard/mouse/speakers(headset), you have everything.

I chose the i5-2400S because at the time I couldn't find the ones you had suggested on the website I was using. I'll check again in a few minutes. Ill also try to find another SSD.

The Kingwin is 80 Plus Platinum Certified.

I have a mouse and headset. Just looking for a keyboard I like. :D

If it's 80 Plus Platinum, then it's probably very costly. How much is it? You don't have to get a Platinum rated one over Bronze.

It was $119.99

Ive found an i5-2300 and chosen to go with a Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2CCA 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive

Yeah, very expensive. A 550W with 80 Plus Bronze certification can be had for about $60. Unless absolute top level electricity usage efficiency is your goal, it's not necessary.

If you go with the M4, note that M4 does not come with a SATA data cable, nor a bracket/screws. The former can be dealt with by scrounging a SATA data cable from your old PC, or buying a $5 SATA cable. Latter is not as crucial too because M4 has no moving parts. If you find that the case does not have an SSD bracket/screws, you can just duct tape the M4 onto something solid and it's a done deal.

Duct tape ftw?

I looked through Newegg and found LEPA B550-SA 550W. 80 Plus Bronze. $69.99, the cheapest I've been able to find yet.

Stats look good on that power supply, I think that one should be OK. I've heard of LEPA brand here and there, and they seem to be an OK brand.

Well there was a Rosewill HIVE Series HIVE-550 at the same price.. but the shipping was $1 extra! D:

Hey Kalganized, I wanted to hook up my computer to one of my parents' hd TVS over the weekend, but I noticed the HDMI port on my video card is a little bit smaller than a standard HDMI cable plug.

There specialized HDMI cables for graphics cards to monitors/tvs with normal HDMI ports?
90 Blood Elf Paladin

Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable is needed (or adapter for Mini-HDMI)

Same thing that happened to the last one; remade.

I may also modify the layout and stuff too though.

Kalganized, First thank you for putting this thread together, it has been very helpful. This will be my first time in building a computer. I also want to learn and work on OC'ing the system so I think I have the correct processor. I know things may change a little before I do this in a month or so but wanted everyone thoughts on this build. Thank you in advance.
