I'm fairly sure that you can't overclock your CPU at all. Also when it doesn't do anything it downclocks itself so it uses less power/produces less heat. It goes back up to what it needs to be as soon as something happens.

Hi. If i were to purchase, say, the second build you mention, is there anything else I would need to get besides a keyboard/mouse and misc programs?

You need:

(If necessary)
Monitor
Speakers (or headset)

(Required if you do not have your own copy of OS)
Copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM

Yes, it would be.

Don't you need a K version to change anything ?

He's just getting a placeholder CPU to get the new Ivy Bridge CPU working, from what I see. On the last page, he talked about what to do with an Ivy Bridge CPU on a fresh build with a Z68 motherboard (without BIOS update applied).

I was under the impression that you could not OC a IB CPU under a Z68 chip.

You can still OC. If you couldn't, no one would have bought Z68 motherboards for the Ivy unlocked CPUs (or everyone sell their Z68s for Z77s)

Yea maybe I should think a bit more before posting something.

Not normal.

Are you forcing anything through Catalyst Control Panel?
What WoW settings are you using for graphics?

Have you tried with the following:

1) Disable all addons
2) Delete Cache folder (inside WoW folder, not inside Data folder), move WTF folder out
3) Only turn on absolute, bare necessity addons, ensure addons are up-to-date, then reconfigure WoW graphics settings

See if this helps

Yeah.

Go to Microsoft's site. Download center has DirectX as one of the most popular files, so...

Yeah, Windows 7 does, but it's not updated to latest version.
