Why dont people be specific when doing pugs?
|

Like when someone says in trade like, "LFM DS need everything" or "LFM for madness" they never say what they need specifically. Then when you message them about joining, they will say something like "were full on ranged", "only need healers", "already got a [insert your class]", and etc. If you are gonna make a pug, make sure you post what you are really looking for.

A lot of times leaders will put out a message just to see what kind of replies they get, and form the group based around whatever roles they have at their disposal.

Last night someone posted: LFM 1 tank fresh DS
I responded eargerly, and got the whisper back: "No DKs!!!" Two seconds later: LFM 1 tank fresh DS (no dks) Why the hate? Bummer. P.S. I love rogues - we had three on madness and the bladestorms cut those bloods down like scrap paper. |

Mostly they are just repeating a macro. Sometimes they will update based on what they have gotten so far, sometimes they won't.
I've found it very difficult to find groups with my rogue for obvious reasons. I'm fairly certain it would have been much easier in other tiers although obviously not to the extent as it would for a ranged/heals or ranged. |

Sometimes they've filled a few spots between the trade chat spam and you whispering them.
Sometimes they don't realize they're full on one thing or another until you whisper them and they see "oh, hey, we don't need any more of that." I run into people complaining about me not listing needs mostly from BH. I'll put a trade chat spam something like "LFM BH class run" and warriors will whisper me. I of course explain that I already have a warrior (being me), and they ask why I didn't list it. Sometimes I'll have like 4-6 people in the group. Filling the trade chat spam with exactly what we need can be complicated. "LFM DS10 normal on Spine, need 1 tank, 1 heal, 1 melee, 1 ranged, full on warrior, full on druid." It can become a little silly. |

Groups sometimes fill very quickly, they may have had 10 responses before you finished typing and linking your achieve. ;)
Hi Janaire. :) We've occasionally specifically recruited for a rogue, since they are fantastic stomp soakers for H Morchok, and it feels wasteful to not let someone get the quest items if our usual rogue is out. Ripshred, as Pogo mentioned, they may already have a DK tank and a DK DPS, and prefer to branch out to get some different buffs. We've done well with pretty horrid compositions occasionally, and on some fights it doesn't matter as much as others. We did Spine/Madness with 3 resto shammies, 3 warriors (a tank and 2 DPS), 3 DKs (1 tank 2 DPS), and a lone ranged Hunter one week. A different week, we had 3 resto shammies, 3 Warlocks, 3 DKs and a Druid (bear, not a tree). ;) |
