Your spec isn't optmial by any stretch but its not going to be what causes you to get crushed by bosses. When you say "get hit hard" what do you mean? Are you going from full to 20% a hit or just about a third of your health per hit? It looks like your armory hasn't updated as well because its still showing you at a possible ilvl of 368(too low to que for lfr).
The 397 pieces you have should have Chimera eye gems in them. You've got three unused ones from what I see right now. Your relic should at least have one, and the other two should go in your bracers and feet for now. The couple enchants will help if for no other reason that you'll get a bit more health since 154k is pretty low for a tank. Make sure you log in and out in your tank gear that you're using for LFR so its easier for us to see. Next up, how're you using your cds? Is boneshield up as often as you possibly can have it, potentially saving it for heavier damage portions (zon'ozz at higher stacks of focused anger type deals)? Are you using IBF during larger portions of damage or when healers are having trouble (high stacks of void bolt, Zon'ozz high stacks, Morchok Furious)? AMS at some opportune times can be extremely helpful as well in insuring your don't get insta gibbed by mobs (warmaster's twilight barrage when you go to stack, Psychic drain on Zon'ozz). Vampiric blood should be used pretty often as well. Its a great cooldown, but since your hp is a little weak you may want to leave it unglyphed for now. It can help give you some survivability for larger hits (2-3 stack devastates for warmaster, 9 stack hideous amalg, impale from corruptions on madness). Morchok keep bone shield up when possible, taunt off the other tank at 3 stacks or make sure the other tank knows to taunt. Yor'sahj taunt at 3 make sure tank knows to do the same. Zon'ozz make sure you're using cds when his stacks get to 7 or 8 but don't blow them all at once. You're going to get a couple of those phases. Make sure the boss is facing away from the raid as well. Hagara move away from focused assualt, try to not take ice lance. If you are pop ams at 7 stacks and you'll be fine. Don't derp and get hit by an icewall. They hurt even in LFR. For ultraxion you should be keeping your cds up at all times if you're getting smacked by him. AMS Hour of Twilight, and use IBF for it for good measure. You can hit the button in LFR and be fine but its best to get into the habit now. Be sure to hit the button for Fading light, that's a big thing that a lot of newer tanks will fall to in LFR and is a quick way to insure a wipe. Make sure you're switching which add you kill on Warmaster Blackhorn during the first phase so the dot doesn't stack too high. Its more important for you because you're a bit undergeared. Make sure your off tank taunts at 2-3 stacks or you taunt off at 2-3 stacks. From there its whenever your debuff drops. Don't turn your back to the amalg when kiting it through the bloods on spine. Its a quick way to get slapped silly. On madness make sure you use dream for the first impale and you taunt off the other tank if the start taking impale to prevent gibs. On all other platforms you'll have to rely on your own self cooldowns to survive. Second platform IBF, third vampiric blood and Army (Dancing Rune Weapon if you use it before the impale cast starts) during impale, fourth platform Icebound Fortitude again. Abuse AMS for the last platform in stacking the debuffs. At about 2-3 stacks go ahead and pop it. If you do it too late the debuff will shred your shield because there is a cap on it. I reccomend you take a look around at other DK tanks you might know of, or even top end ones as far as spec reccomendations. There is a slight bit of wiggle room depending on your playstyle. I at the very least reccomend you drop a point in Epicdemic, drop Butchery, and drop Blood-caked Blade and put two points in Icy Reach so you can reach Lichborne. Lichborne is a power self heal cooldown. Just make a macro that to selftarget yourself with Deathcoil while its active and you can get some amazing healing off of it. For further self heals insure you also get rid of Death Strike and put in glyph of Death Coil, because it increases the amount it heals. Timing this during Vampiric Blood will maximize your results, just make sure you pool the ruinic power to Death Coil. If you look at me don't mind the missing minor glyph spot, I'm just a baddie ;D. Hope this helps a little. |
