Here is my solution. 1x every 90 days is all that is needed |

Does Blizzard thinks people have no life but to play WoW daily? What if i go on a vacation or i get sick and don't play WoW for a few months? Everything i have in WoW is on my guild all my money all my mats.... and all the time and effort i put in to lvl my guild almost by myself!!! All that gone given to someone i don't even know and i can't get it back!! Really? The idea of this feature is that in many cases, a guild leader will leave for a time and there's no contingency for someone else to be able to handle the guild if that guild leader chooses not to return (or whatever other issues may occur). Many guild members who experienced missing guild leaders made it clear that they wanted a means by which they could gain control of a guild if the guild leader went missing or was gone for a long while. We've adjusted the length of time until this occurs as well as changed the eligibility for this to get passed along both. You can see the details in the following post: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/4488479071 If you're on vacation for a few months, the update gives you 90 days now instead of the original 30 days. |

IMO should be shorter than 30 days. Sorry Mr. High and mighty GM, but while you've left us for 30+ days, we've had to try and function on our own w/o guild controls. Take my guild, where our GM hasn't "really" been on for 4+ months, but we havn't been able to do anything about it because he logs in 1 minute every 15 days. Now, our Realm first achievements are going to sit on an GMless guild, soon with no people, as we just spent 250k gold to BUY a new guild, because the GM Overthrow policy is WAY to strict.
If you don't know the members of your guild and wouldn't trust them to "rule" if you left the game for week/months, then you ARN'T the proper GM for that guild... They are not YOUR mats, or YOUR gold, it's the GUILDS. If you, the person who took responsibility for running the guild, is going to leave for X time, then don't complain if someone took over in your absence, they deserved it, because you ditched your responsibilities. It people like you who are ruining it for the rest of us, like my guild who is losing the prestige of Realm First and such just to have control over the guild that our GM does not participate in... Edit: Posted on wrong char... w/e |

It's not fair to others if you're leading a guild and disappear for months at a time. If you're going to be away from the game that long you shouldn't be leading a guild unless you're the only one in it. Period.

I think they expect viable guilds to have a viable succession policy, since it's not reasonable for most guilds to be devoid of leadership for extended periods of time. |

You are beyond a terrible GM if you thinks its okay to disappear for 3 months.

If you can't log in once every 30 days, you shouldn't be the GM of a guild.
And right now, it's 90 days. If you're not going to be playing for that long...why is your account even active? |

I wish I had the ability to take a three month vacation :(

If you can't log in once every 30 days, you shouldn't be the GM of a guild. I was suggesting that, as a guild leader, I'd hate to go for 3 days without logging in. I think that if a guild leader can't log in at least once every 3 days, he's probably not fit to lead his guild. I always thought it was pretty bad that people complained about 30 days, and now it's extended to 90 days and people are STILL complaining. |

There was SO MUCH QQ in the threads from people who where pissed when they where de-throned after not bothering to log in for 2 months. For the record, I believe the 30 day rule still stands, but must be handled by an in-game GM ticker. As a guild leader, I agree wholeheartedly. People thought I was dead after I was away for 5 days. |
