Looking for some class advise

So I just returned to WoW 3 weeks ago from an almost 2 week break and got a Resto druid and Resto Shaman to 85 and got them raid ready. My friends and I started a guild that will be doing 10man raids and some casual PvP now my question is this, I've always loved doing PvP and I normally try a little harder then my friends do and I'm primarily a raid healer normally again I put more effort into stuff then my friends in this regard as well, which would excel more in both Areas a Resto shaman or a resto druid?

Extra note other raid healers are a Disc priest and a Holy Pally, Holy pally will be joining in for PvP

If the HPally is joining in for PvP, that implies that they are doing 5s (if anything, in arenas), or some sort of BG. Resto druids are OK in 5s, provided their partners know what they are doing, fairly decent in FC-type BGs, due to their mobility, and as you noted, just fine in almost any random BG. 2s and 3s in arenas as a resto druid is just miserable, unless you have a strong comp/partner(s). But to the OP, play what you love. You may want to note that a fair number of the 10 man raid fights can or should be 2 healed, so unless one of the other healers has a strong DPS off-spec and is willing to switch on occasion, you may want to focus on the toon that you enjoy DPSing on. Fortunately, any combination of two out of the healers you mentioned will work just fine. |
