Since 2004, this controversial art form/attention plea has captured the fascination of scientists and cyber pervs alike throughout the cities and villages of WoW. What is its purpose? Theories on this vary greatly. We interviewed a few of the dancers to find out. Here are some of the responses we got:
"I used to have a lot of body issues and now I feel comfortable with my curves and this is how I reclaim my own body and show everyone that I am happy with who I am and how I look!"
-[Asked to remain unnamed] lvl 21 Tauren Priest
"I was bored"
-Marilirri, lvl 85 Troll Shaman
"u gief gold plz"
-Ljkjlijnbukjn, lvl 1 Blood Elf Hunter
Is there a definitive answer? Maybe not. But the fact is, as long as there have been mailboxes, there have been people dancing on them.
Some might say, 'well there are so many mailboxes everywhere now... there's no way this will affect me'
True, gone are the days when the only mailbox around was being danced on, and surrounded by so many people with their mounts and pets out that you had to use all kinds of odd angles to be able to click on it. However, Mailbox Dancing is not gone, and it can happen anywhere, anytime. Unless there's not a mailbox around.
