The Forsaken...

The Forsaken are created from the dead; would it be plausible for any race to be Forsaken? I was thinking that since Death Knights are a kind of template, wouldn't it make sense for the Forsaken to be a template too at some point? I'd like to play a goblin Forsaken, but since the current model is "standard human", no one would take the character seriously. Would anyone else like to play a Forsaken that isn't human?

A ZF like undead female troll would be wondefully amusing to play, as long as shes got the nightmare face and not the pretty one.

Yes, but it'll never happen.

Forsaken are supposed to be a race for game mechanic reasons.

Making it so any race can be a Forsaken kinda takes away from it being a "separate" race.

eh, most of the first generation of forsaken were humans, thus why we're dead humans as a race. The new generation are raised by the Val'kyr who can only raise humans. I assume that's because they were made to raise the vrykul and cause common ancestery between humans and vrykul they can raise them too.

Actually the first generation of forsaken is a mixture of humans and High Elves.

Short answer, No.

Long answer yes with a but:

The Forsaken are the undead of the human nation of Lordearon. After the events of Wrath of the Lich King, they increase their ranks by raising the dead of Lordearon's crypts and graveyards with their Valkyr servants.

While there were doubtless many dwarves, gnomes and elves also living in and around Lordearon, their populations were numerically insignificant and did not need to be represented by players in the interest of creating a thematic identity of the Forsaken "race".

Pretty much this ^^. DK's can be non-human because they were made that way by the Lich King, with different powers and stuff. The Forsaken are all the Human undead who followed Sylvanas in revolt and the ones the Vrykul have created for her.

Forsaken are Human just as Worgen are Human. Asking for non-human Forsaken would be like asking for non-human Worgen. Not going to happen.

Additionally, in undeath elves generally take the form of Banshees. Ghostly spirits that have the ability to manipulated bodies of the living and the dead in order to more directly interact with the material world.

Sylvanas herself is a banshee, she just happens to be manipulating her own former body. That's why she's called The Banshee Queen, and not The Zombie Queen.

Actually they went back on that decision. You can. I have a few characters I recently made with alt codes.

That is not true, Banshees are not created by the race, but by the process of riping a spirit out of a dying person with frostmourne.

Forsaken Blood elfs are a bad idea. Suits the Dark Lady but dont think a standard character model could pull it off, unless it looks like the dark ranger npcs. Even then reds fine but no pink eyes please.
