https failing due to SSL certificate problem?

My curl requests are failing for https://us.battle.net/api/wow/realm/status?locale=en_US

SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details:
error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed

Switching to http however works.

This wasn't an issue before today, if necessary I'll disable CA verification.

EDIT: typo

I get the same. From wget:

wget -O /dev/null --debug "https://us.battle.net/api/wow/realm/status?locale=en_US"
DEBUG output created by Wget 1.12 on linux-gnu.

Firefox says the battle.net certificate was issued on May 30, 2012, so maybe it was switched recently. Firefox likes the cert, tho, so maybe there's a way to push new CAs to wget/curl?

This worked for me:

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER , "FALSE");

Not my favorite option to set, but it got things going again.
