Rich coming from you...

I'll just leave that there.

This coming from the child who went as far as to vandalize a guild's wiki page and trash talk in every thread I've posted in ever since being kicked for perfectly legitimate reasons, including his inability to behave like an adult... Well I'll just leave that there...

Agreed.

Are ANY of you going to act like adults? Because so far, it seems like a bunch of playground morons bickering back and forth about imaginary fights that got out of hand.

Can an adult please step up?

Can someone that doesn't feel the need for attention post something useful and get the thread back on track?

You are an instigator, and trying to demean people for sorting out a situation...this conversation is going on over a couple of different platforms (And being resolved), and you are only seeing pieces of it. I would think an adult could put that together.

I'll put it this way. If this thread was posted in a newspaper that your grandmother read, how many of you would be proud of the way you've acted?

Exactly. +1 me.

Well Galv, if you ever come back to this post and make it down this far...

It's a shame you feel the need to step down, but very good of you to extend an apology. Admittedly I was surprised when I was told it was up on the WrA forums, mainly because this is the common outcome, turning into 4 pages worth of derp commentary. Though I understand this method in the respect that trying to get the guilds in question together, that you wished to extend this to in game, became a very unlikely scenario.

As we all know, there's no stopping people from being who they are, acting the way they want to act, and playing the way they want to play, and eventually we all end up butting heads with someone. It happens constantly and will keep happening, because people are people.

With that in mind, I hope you don't take it to heart for too long, bud. Take a breather, and hope to see you around the pixilated block again.

I must say, you handled this well Galvynn. Amazing how quickly the community is jumping to "maigosh more guild drama" when in reality this is just a mature step-down from a GM.

well the thread was just fine till the OP's own guild members came in to start the drama back up, so they are really the blame here, the rest of us are just munching some popcorn watching the guild self implode.

Which in itself is quite a shame, I was watching the OPs guild with some interest especially after the original recruitment thread got harassed into oblivion (which the person doing the harassing was duly punished for (hooray for justice!)) and deleted by the OP himself. It really crippled his guild right at the start and to be perfectly honest no guild should have to go through that, but he handled it rather well.

More guild leaders like the OP are needed in this game.

Nope

Erm? Care to elaborate on that?

Galvynn 'could' have simply not posted anything, he 'could' have let the wounds from this drama fester, something which has happened in the past to other guilds and other people to no good end. Instead he's not only popped in here with a complete public apology but he's also stepped down as the guild leader and showed a great deal of humility, again something he didn't have to do.

Guild leaders who do that are needed. Guild leaders who abuse power and act like asshats both ICly and OOCly are not in my personal opinion.

I never thought I'd say this on the forums but...

You've handled this in a good, mature way, sir; you've righted your wrong and admitted to it.

*insert 'YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH' here*

Honestly that depends, is the 'truth' going to create another drama storm? If that's the case then it's best not handled here, but you can reach me in game on my mage Marchutan. If it's relatively tame and just personal opinion though, by all means share away.

Fine but I did warn you, just so we are clear.

While his actions here today have been noble and sincere, the fact is there are plenty of people who remember those drama threads, and in those it could be said that both sides did not handle it well. His rep as well as the rep of the guild HE runs is not the best in the world, as shown by his members actions here in this thread and other threads.

Now this being from someone neutral in this, the only interest I have is his integrity as a guild leader, which despite his well thought out and mature apology, doesn't mean he is fit to be a leader of a guild, which is why he is stepping down, and it is for the best.
To answer your question, no we do not need more leaders like this. His actions in the past have been questionable at best, his members are out of control, and he would rather step down then to change what needs to be changed and take charge of his guild.

This server needs more guild leaders who are willing to take responsibility for their own actions, but more importantly his/her guilds actions as well. We don't need leaders who seem to think their members serve them, but just the opposite, because it is the members who make the guild what it is, and it is the guild leaders job to make sure the members are getting what they need. and if there are members who start acting the way we have seen here, then the leader needs to get past personal friendships, or whatever could prevent him/her from doing their jobs, and remove that member from the guild, because nobody is above the guild.

This being my opinion though, and how I run MY guild.

Well to be fair... he did point out in the OP that he did kick the people who were responsible from the guild, so he did hold those people accountable and he held himself accountable as well. So that's good enough in my book, a lot of guild leaders, wont do either...
