Azeroth needs more heroes to rise through the ranks and your guild can help. We’re looking for a few good guilds to volunteer for the new Guild Mentoring Program. Guilds participating in the program will take part in identifying new players within selected realms, offering to invite them into the guild, and teaching them the ways of Azeroth as they level and reach the end game content.
Q. What is the Guild Mentoring Program?
A. The guild mentoring program identifies guilds on select realms to act as mentors for new and low level players (below level 85).
Q. How long does the Guild Mentoring Program run for?
A. The Guild Mentoring Program will run for a period of four months from the time that guilds are selected and notified.
Q. Is there a certain criteria for being selected as a mentoring guild?
A. Guilds must meet certain criteria to be considered for the Guild Mentoring Program:
Q. How many guilds will be recruiting per realm?
A. Only one guild will be selected per faction on each realm.
Q. What does my guild need to do to volunteer?
A. The guild leader will need to submit an application to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
Q. How long are you accepting applications for?
A. We will be accepting applications for two weeks. We will then select a guild for the Guild Mentoring Program from those that meet the criteria and contact the guild leader.
Q. On what realms will this program be available?
A. Mentoring guilds will be chosen for the following realms:
Q. Do participating guilds get anything special?

dis gun b gud.
I think it must be because of the top-notch people that regular the realm, such as snokey, I'm sure he'd be an excellent candidate for this program.
He could teach new plays how to watch the car.
I was reading this last night, it seems rather interesting, with rewards offered to the leaders of said guilds that participate.
It may help to further expand the player base in the realms that have been selected, as with a lot of other guilds on this server coming up with recruits from saurfang can be quite hard.
All in all looks like a good idea, good luck to those guilds that apply
Its a good idea and I can see how Saurfang was chosen for this. However at the same time Saurfang would be one of the worst realms for this.
Also the majority of Saurfang does not read the forums.
Out of interest what would be the Guild Name changed too?
Good luck to anyone that applies.
Would you be able to elaborate on the details of this forum? Is it one large forum for everyone participating, is it realm specific, or is it guild specific? or is this still being discussed internally? And what is really the purpose of this forum if it is the former, it would make current guild websites somewhat redundant.
I assume this recognition will be in the form of a title and/or tabard, if so will it be account-bound or guild-bound? if the latter, will it be tied to reputation with your guild (similar to how in-guild titles already work), tied to how long you have been in the guild (to avoid people selling guild invites solely for the purpose of receiving these rewards) or will it just be straight up given to everyone in the guild?
Side note: If you are giving people titles, is it possible to make them different per realm/guild? Such as "..., Mentor of Saurfang" or "..., Mentor of Antiquus".
Keen for this thing, even if it is just a veiled plan to bring more people to the selected realms.
inb4 no blue reply.
Wouldn't want convictfish mentoring, the new players wouldn't make it past 83.
I'll NEVER teach them my greatest secret.
When we want we can appear as civilized people to try fool posters such as Nethaera into thinking this is a friendly realm.
