I really like some of the changes to the frost dk with deaths advance and unholy aura and horn of winter. Those are great

But sadly downtime has gotten signifigantly worse. I have time to take a drink in between bursts of dps now.

Also the major glyphs are kind of pointless. In fact most of them are significant debuffs. 30 runic power for a no cd interupt? not even a pvper would use that. Pillar of frost is still ice block? Unholy doesn't really have any bad ones, it's just effing frost. Really hope before mop launches this gets fixed.

and that's even in this gear so it's not a "get better gear and it'll work" thing.

Maybe you need MOP gear to see the big picture. The new abilities' (and old's) AP ratios are balanced around those numbers after all.

MoP gear won't fix downtime.

Taking the absolutely terrible T75 Blood Tap talent will sure do that, though. Of course, it's also a severe DPS loss for Frost.

yake it you are refering to pve issues becuase yes there is too much thumb twiddling in pve dk beta. PVP is not bad at all worse then it was but still flows better then a ret pally not as spiky and resource regen pvp is ok. One thing I hate is abilities costing death runes they put death runes in to make flow and not have long stretches where we did almost no damage

All I can say is I hope all of you managed to get a 2-handed weapon during all of this pre-expac downtime, otherwise you'll find yourselves at a distinct disadvantage when raiding in 5.0 (still before MoP rolls out onto store shelves)

I'm not trying to be negative or anything, I just go by what Euliat's sims are showing between specs ^_^

Which Tier 5 talent you pick?And are you in unholy presence?

I picked up RC and with about 2.2k haste I'm not having too much downtime.A bit more downtime than live though.Just remember in a raid situation most of the time you can use ams to fill your RP bar,which will also greatly reduce downtime.

And 2H and DW frost is totally different now.You have to reforge differently.And even follow different priority.

Our current playstyle/reforge etc will favor 2H frost.

For DW have to reforge mastery.And need to focus spending KM on FS.I'll need to do some more testing on that though.

They also removed Runic Focus.And HB,IT,OB even DC is missing a lot.Hopefully they will fix that.

I keep saying Frost has always been broken. Anything that is based on procs is bound to go wrong, probability unpermitting.

The dillema is chosing between Unholy and Frost Spec. Attacking 15% faster and increas proc chance or deal a flat 10% more damage (20+%ish with certain talents) and generating more runuc power. It's hard to find a build that works without probability screwing you one way or another. I really actually liked Frost spec but I just can't deal with the off-chance of losing my burst, especially during raids.
