Having trouble with excessive force interrupting your RP event? Being harassed by pvpers? Then you're just one call away from the rank 1 professional boss: Edwardo Wubbingtons III. I can solve all your problems in the most horrific of manners all while keeping the screams out of ear shot of your event.

[quote="62010424114"]Echo Lahkin. Yeah ... we definitely had more than 10 Alliance side. I remember being told we needed to stop recruiting BEFORE this event even started because we had the Horde side outnumbered before we even began.

I remember being told to stop recruiting before the event started, yes. And we did have more than 10 Alliance side (I want to say we had more like 15?)

And then I recall being at the event and having our butts soundly handed to us because we *were* outnumbered -- and I definitely remember there being Cereal Killerz there, because I also recall being miffed when one killed me *literally* right when I rezzed (it wasn't camping or griefing, I was just miffed I didn't even get to heal or take flight or anything.) DEFINITELY was someone from Cereal Killerz, sorry to burst your bubbles but that DID happen.
So, given that there WERE non-RPers at the Halaa event...

And, given that there were then PvPers at Abominus' wedding...
And, given that we were reminded multiple times to be aware of the event coming up...
And, given that no one informed Pia NOT to invite non-RPers and Pia has (at pretty much all of *our* RP events) extended invites to non-RPers in order to expand the community...
Can you see why we invited people? None of whom, btw, are disrespectful of the RP community and ALL of whom were informed that it was an RP event before it "began"?

And, seriously Lahkin, Gentyl asks for the forum sniping to stop (on her side as well) and all you have to say is "no"? I realize that it would free up a good amount of time for you, but couldn't that be used for something more productive?

I'm going to butt in right quick about the RP events being discussed.

Mainly the Uther's Tomb one.

While I was in the raid for the event, I took extreme care to tell everyone present (that was not a RPer) that this was a RP event and to respect that. If anyone came strictly for PvP to grief or otherwise I told them to leave.

That being said, everyone present at the event took time to RP with one another while we all waited for the event to begin. Sadly, it never began and no one ally side (that should have been privy to what was going on) knew what was taking so long.

To be more specific, I have no problem if people don't want me at their RP events; however, do yourself a favor and be kind enough to (as I have said before) INFORM THOSE PARTICIPATING what the terms of your event are. If you don't want certain people there, tell them so they don't invite someone (like me) unknowingly to participate in their event.

It would certainly be a lot more helpful than biting the face off of Pia when it was equally the fault of Modas for the event (even if only in communication -- it's alright to make mistakes, but to not take responsibility for them is not mature in the least).

CK showed up near the end, yes, but to claim they were actively recruited by one of the coordinators (of which you were not, in my recollection) is a misnomer. They (and other non-RP PvPers) responded to the spam our event caused, and personally, I don't recall seeing more than 2 or 3 from CK. As far as I can remember, it wasn't long after they jumped in that the match was (rp-wise) called and RP continued.

The match was not called because CK *specifically* got involved (personally, I've found those CK folks I've chatted with to be delightfully informative, esp. about PvP). It was called because when those outside forces do jump into the fray, coordination and environmental control become next to impossible.

And, I'm sorry, Cray. I try very hard to be respectful to everyone, but your admonishment at Lahkin is not just presumptuous, it's out of line. The "no" in question was in response to the DIRECTIVE (as opposed to a polite request) to discuss Lahkin's views in-game. You know as well as I do that such a conversation is neither welcomed, nor would it be *productive*. Please let it go.

No matter how heated and ugly this or other discussions get, it's still open, transparent communication and is something I support. When I see it, I am CONSTANTLY nagging all of you in AOOC to TALK WITH and NOT ABOUT each other, ESPECIALLY for those who are not present to defend themselves. At least here, people can be present to speak on their own behalf.

I keep hoping that maybe -- just MAYBE -- at some point we (as a collective) will exhaust the need for animosity and finally settle down to *discuss* resolutions. There is a balance and there are equitable, reasonable solutions to the issues that arise within this community for RPers, PvPers, Raiders and alike -- all of us -- as a whole.

It's academic, really: STOP BEING MEAN TO EACH OTHER!

It comes down to courtesy and awareness. RPers don't want PvPers showing up at their events and destroying the structure by reducing it to "if it's red it's dead". PvPers don't want RPers to join a raid on Orgrimmar and stand in Garrosh's throne room RPing with each other while everyone else is fighting off the Warchief, the plethora of heavy-hitting NPCs in his throneroom, and whomever is responding from the Horde.

The PvPers have an easier resolution to RPers who aren't respectful of the nature of the event they're at: let them die, don't heal/rez them, remove them from the raid, and hope they get the point.

RPers have a bit of time investiture. If they're doing an RP-PvP event with the expectation of certain behaviors (our general "rules of war" in the RP community, like no /rude or /spit emotes, no corpse camping, etc.) and PvPers show up with the "if it's red it's dead" mentality, then people just fly up (which they can do anywhere save the blood elf and draenei starting zones and the Darkmoon Faire, which is a Sanctuary to begin with), type /pvp to deflag, and wait 5 minutes for their flag to drop. Hopefully in that interim the unwelcome types can have their unwelcome presence communicated to them, and they'll leave.

That "paper trail" is very important, because if, after being politely asked to leave to avoid disruption of an RP event, they choose not to, they enter into the realm of griefing, which is a reportable offense. The chat logs help you out at that point, even if it's just a first offense on Blizzard's penalty ladder and the players get a note in their email saying "Don't do it again".

If a PvPer wants to RP, they'd do well to seek out someone who's involved in the story, and ask them what's happening so they can RP appropriately. If an RPer wants to PvP, they should ask for some guidance (if they aren't already familiar with PvPing) from folks like ZI or the Horde folks in Dominion (make an alt, talk to someone, use the knowledge). ZI (in fact, many of the folks in Sanctuary Garden) is happy to help RPers with PvP stuff, and the folks in Dominion comport themselves honorably, and strike me as perfectly willing to give some advice as well.

In the end, be respectful, be aware of what "the other guys" look for in the game, and find ways to co-exist peacefully.

Talking with Gentyl is not productive when she can't discuss things honestly. So my answer is again...no.

As for the outnumbered thing...I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt this time and say you were remembering wrong. I kept tabs on the numbers via realID, and we were equal until the Trade chat people were called in, and/or people replied to the defense spam. If it seemed like you were outnumbered, I suggest it was because Alliance was splitting their forces in such a way that we could gang up on each group separately as they attacked--and that certainly was a tactic we used when Alliance was taking the wyvern posts.

I'm not going to reply to this thread anymore. This debate is pointless, as several people have pointed out, and I'm tired of seeing names dragged through the mud for the sake making a point. Good day to you, sirs.

Yes, poor Nipsey, you guys had fun killing him about a thousand times? I'll be sure to mourn his death after I go kill a couple goblins.

Hmm, last time was in Ratchet, and I kill their innkeeper a bit so I might try to mix it up... I will need to find someone.

I should warn you that the Ratchet innkeeper isn't a Horde goblin, so you're hurting your neutral faction rep with that.

Oh I know, I've been thinking of working on Bloodsail admiral with this character, I was killing him because someone ditched me, and the people there seemed to have enjoyed watching me. Also, I never said I wanted to kill a horde goblin exactly.

:) I found this thread because I was searching Cereal Killerz. I just wanted to say Hi. I don't normally read these but decided to scan it and see whats going on.

First, I would like to say congrats to being the first fraction to down Garrosh Hellscream in Cataclysm.

About a month after D3 launched, I sat in org and I was literally the only person there. I was surprised to see how empty it was and wondered if Stormwind was the same way. I thought about getting a group to kill King Varian Wrynn. But not enough interest due to people playing D3. I also knew what the core alliance players would say/think if we did kill him when there was no one on.

Not long ago, we were so bored that we 8 manned the council in Iron Forge when it was empty. It was cool but not really anything to brag about. That's what I thought about the FTA raid on Org. I lead several defensive raids and was successful with only 15 people (4 heals). The times I was unsuccessful were those times we only had 2-3 people in my guild and I was only healer on. It is a delusion to think that your victory was anything other than outnumbering us.

I started playing this game during wolk (middle of naxx) and actually never heard of Kod, Gentyl, and few others until Cataclysm during TB. It's always a much more interesting battle when I see you guys there. I have only heard stories about the notorious Kod that would gank lowbie for hours. I see not much has changed with your recent FTA tactics. Going for easy kill for the Victory. Grats Bro.

Gentyl, I do want to clear the air with you about that RP wedding. It was your buddies on your side that made the first move and attacked and killed me. As far the Halaa rp event, I have no clue on what this about. But I know that the core CK people wasn't involved.

I don't know anything about RP. I don't know any people who RP. I don't even know if there is a Horde RP guild. Needless to say , I have no idea to any RP etiquette that there might be and terribly sorry if I made people mad.

We go to TB, IF, GS, and outside SW to see if you guys wanna play cause were bored and not to offend people. But that's where the people who are dueling and doing pvp. There might be initial ganking at first but it is required to get you guys to rally and come play.

Anyways, see you all in TB.
