DK Swapping to Horde - Race Selection.

So Im getting a faction swap to Horde. Wondering what some of you might think would be the best race to choose. I'm a blood DK for PvE Tank. Well, here's my thoughts.
Tauren - HP Buff and AoE Stun. Troll - Regen, Movement impairment reduction Orc - Stun Reduction And not going to bother with the others because I'm not interested in their skins. Also more interested in the Tanky part of the classes, not the DPS part. Anything notable to add? Edit: Forgot Tauren Nature Res. |

Tauren for tank for sure. The stun reduction does almost nothing in PvE, and movement impairs don't really show up too much in PvE to the best of my knowledge. Then again, I did quit raiding a while ago.

your best choice is goblin for the jump. it adds an essential aspect that's currently missing from the DK toolkip - increased mobility.
second choice is Blood Elf for the RP every two minutes which *could* lead to another Death Strike. the tauren stun is nice, but no bosses are stunnable - the HP bonus truly is minimal. orc expertise will come in handy in Mists, but only if you're using an axe - the Blood Fury racial is nice for a little threat burst in the begining of a fight. trolls berserking does actually increase rune regen rates, but it's really not enough to matter. undead is really the only class i currently am not sure about. i guess it depends on how often it procs, it could be a nice supplement to our self-healing ability. but it could also just be random fluff not worth talking about. edit add: fully aware that you said you didn't like skins other than the listed three, but that's my take on them anyway. |

Assuming the OP hasn't changed yet, Undead is probably worth another look for MoP.
The underwater breathing racial has been replaced with: http://www.wowdb.com/spells/5227-touch-of-the-grave Personally, after being horde for all but the last week of my wow-time (since vanilla-open beta), and only changing to human for the OP racial to begin with, I can't freaking wait to go back to undead. Also, if you pvp or solo alot, Cannabalize is severely underrated. -Dro |

Tauren ;) especially for tanking and orc and trolls for DPS. But overall i would say tauren.

With tauren you basically just get a free stam trink.
I'd honestly say Orc. The expertise will be nice in mop, considering that an axe will be the tank weapon of choice for dk's for tier 14 (since the two hander has no mastery, and the axe does, choice is obvious). Not to mention you're going to want expertise/hit in mop for scent of blood. |
