Do you have a P.L.A.N.?

*Tacked all over Stormwind and other major cities, most notably where G.U.E.S.S. has been seen before, are pieces of arcane imbued parchment*

Oi! Citizens of the Alliance and all that! do YOU have a P.L.A.N.? If you have an organization and are worried about someone comin in and swoopin your name away well then WE have a P.L.A.N. for you! P.L.A.N. or Patented Lettering of Acronym Names guarantees that nobody will ever be able to patent your name right out from under you! Why is this important you ask? well let me tell you a tale...

Way back in the not so near past an aspiring mage found himself a member of P.E.P. or People Eating Pies. Now this here mage was also fairly lazy so went about finding a way to invent pies that walk themselves to the table with predictable results. After about the third pie that threw itself in his face the chairman kicked the mage out of the organization and banned him from ever eating another pie! (at this a small image pops off the page of a man with pie on his face yelling at another animatedly with pies running around flinging themselves at people)

Angry at his disgrace and barring from pie eating the mage swore to get his revenge. He took himself off and holed up working on perfecting his sentient pies all the while teaching them hatred of those who would dare to eat them. Sadly...or not so sadly as the case may be here... they took this lesson to heart and he found himself a meal for the pies. Without someone to control them they made their own society and as it so happened created their own P.E.P. or Pies Eating People.

Now none of this ever would have come to light if one of the two hadn't up and decided to have themselves a P.E.P. rally to celebrate eatin what they love. (accounts are a bit messy from this time period and survivors of both blamed the other for callin the rally) As you can probably guess it didn't go over so well when both sides showed up lookin ta eat. Authorities later called it the deadliest food fight since the amateur biscuit bakin contest/Hockey game of 472. (Another arcane image pops up this time of pies and people covered in pies all sprawled out with a brawl raging in the background between the two)

Now...Like I said afor this was important to tell ya because had they had a P.L.A.N. this disaster would have been prevented and lives would have been saved! So what are ya waitin for? Go get a P.L.A.N. today!

*In fine print* P.L.A.N. is a patent pending name and holds no responsibility for names that aren't covered by it.

Kyalin spies a notice posted up in Darnassus, watching the arcane images for all of three seconds before tearing it down and crumpling it up into a ball.

"The nerve of these people!"

A passing gnome looks at the flyer and giggles. "Should send this to H.U.N.C.H.... they can't even decide what their acronym stands for..."

Looks at the flyer and giggles at the modest arcane trickery used on the parchment to get it to do such basic things. Then her mind went hyperdrive mode figuring out how to improve the flyer and make such lunacy sound plausible. Removing the pins that fought the corners of the paper whenever a gust of wind blew through the town, she took the flyer with her into the nearby Dwarven bar with a table and set to work improving the flyer.

First, she noticed that the images didn't pop off the notice until you got to the point in the winded story that they would pop. This isn't good for getting people's attention. It gives them a modest fright if they've read that far, but who is going to read all of this when other flyers on the call board have gorgeous illustrations. To fix this, Izby dug through her pouch and sprinkled some dust over the top of the paper and began writing with fingernail an incantation that would cause the flyer to tell the story to people. Then she gave it a high pitched squeal of a voice, so that anyone passing by would think a squirrel was talking to them.

Then the images themselves only popped out. Nothing terribly exciting about that, but if she could make them life-sized and have them occur in front of the listener that would be something. So she set about crumpling the paper and smoothing it out until she could map an arcane line into the folds that would allow a larger source of energy to pool into it. Using that energy signature she crafted gnome familiars to act out not just the few moments, but the entire story.

Finally, to make sure everyone knew that this joke was a joke after all. She made the pies that were conjured real and the aim of the sentient ones horribly wrong or maybe accurate depending on your point of view.

Satisfied, she strode outside and hung the flyer back up. Leaving, she wondered how this P.L.A.N. prevents anything since it doesn't stop people from copying the name. Maybe she could create a P.L.A.N. - a Plagarizism License Attack Notice, a simple device to copy all acronym names and attack the original to decommission it. Oh this sounds like fun.

(No offense but disregarding any sort of tampering that takes it beyond what it is. Something for amusement's sake with no real plans to go beyond. The paper remains just that, a paper with arcane chicanery to make certain points pop out.

((Out of curiosity, would there be an adverse effects to tearing the notices up? Do I have to seek out a mage to disenchant the parchment or would it not matter?))

Naw, tears up just like any other bit of paper. Eventually another will find its way back up somewhere.

((Not sure how my adjustments done in pure jest aren't done for amusement's sake with real plans to go beyond like you mentioned, but okay. Whatever you want.))

Uhh...I dunno! I'd have to think on that >> to be honest this was just something that made me giggle and demanded I write it down more than something I was actually planning on doing anything with since beyond random things Kal still hasn't found his voice yet.

((Ah, I see. Well, if you ever want to expand upon this in RP, I'm always open for it. :) ))

Maybe in the future since certain people seem to keep demanding P.E.P. exist /eyes Suni
