Very bad FPS

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro 2.6GHz Core i7, 8GB ram, with an NVIDIA GeForce GT650M 1GB GPU. Prior to the patch I was getting 60-120FPS. After the patch my FPS was lower, but I did not notice any problems until I went to the practice dummies to try out my new rotation. As soon as I moonfired, my FPS dropped to between 18-20, and would freeze completely for a half a second, and then repeatedly freeze every couple seconds thereafter for a half second.

As it is now, it is unplayable. Logging out and logging back in changed nothing, even setting everything to LOW made no difference.

I do not believe my machine is outdated.

Oh I am also getting geometric artifacting as well. So... yeah... this patch has proven problematic for me.

Adding in my $0.02 as well. #2-bit mode client or 64-bit mode doesn't seem to make a difference, nor does changing the graphics settings all the way to low on everything. Very poor performance. Best fps is in the 16fps range and it doesn't matter if I'm set to low, good, high....

Well..for an unsupported card I ran this game flawless since 2008. So it is clearly not my graphics card. I played WoW perfect on a ATI 9250 with 512mb of ram in 2006. I am positive its not my computer. Like what was said earlier in the thread.. My game worked perfect yesterday and is worthless to me today. My card also doesn't "support" diablo 3, but I have been playing that fine (on inferno) for the past few hours because I can't play WoW. Between the hours of 6:00AM on 8/28/12 and 3:00PM on 8/28/12 something made my game worse within the patch, on the newest software available and on a HD graphics card that can run your top of the line game "diablo 3 (2012)" without a problem. So, I am very positive you can help us.
But I know Blizz is the bawls and will do their best.

I am having the same issue as Salonen and Fitzhume in regards to the graphics lagging each second.

This however has been something I have been experiencing for many months, and occurs in other games such as D3 and TF2 occasionally.

Deleting the WTF directory helped a ton for me.... Still running hotter than normal, but fps are back to where I am throttling to ~30fps to keep the heat down with my normal settings.Running about 180F now on the CPU vs 148F on the Graphics card.

Been getting 30 frames on the Beta as of YESTERDAY. That's THIS patch on the BETA, not 4.3.4. I know am not able to get above 20 fps standing still and changing settings to low changes nothing. Staring at a wall changes nothing. I should be able to zoom in, change the resolution and lower the settings and get more frames. I am NOT able to do that currently on live.

I am having the exact same problem as everyone else here, however it seems that mine is triggered by any combat. I load into HoTs just fine, but when my party engages my computer completely locks ups and I loose all of my FPS.

I'm really irritated with this as the rest of my guild is online with no problem (all PC users). I have a raid tonight, and I want to experience the new content but unfortunately I cannot leave SW.

Same. As soon as combat started... frames per minute...

Fps for me are about 3x lower then previous build, AND beta. Something was broken in this client between built on live and beta. because the SAME build number in beta works fine. I can also tell you without a doubt it's not a mod problem. the mac client is royally screwed up right now fps wise.

Something is terribly wrong with the cpu usage. whatever was done between this build 16016 and beta 16016 please revert it asap.

I thought so. Everything I saw didn't add up. Thanks for the verification.

EDIT
Ok, most of my performance loss is cause some idiot in my house put computer to sleep while i wasn't home again. this is second time someone else put computer to sleep without me around so i'd never suspect the good ole 10.7/10.8 sleep bug. now performance is back to where it should be, 60fps on high. So disregard most of my rambling. it is same as beta as it should be.

Same problems for me. Prior to patch had an average 60fps live and on beta. Now it is hovering at around 16fps, sometimes jumping higher or lower and stuttering or freezing for a split second every couple seconds or so when moving. Launcher says game is up to date.

I mean i'm not a blizz quote, but i'm just telling you as another player, this client is unusuable, i will not be able to raid tomorrow like this. trust me I'm not making amature comparisons either. I've put in probalby hundred plus hours into beta, I know what settings are new, or changed. I know what performance is supposed to be. Something is seriously wrong, I get solid 60fps in stormwind on high in BETA with build 16016, i get 20fps with same settings in same location with no other players around. i can't even imagine what i'll get in a raid like this.

Even with my MacPro 1,1 with Ati5870, I get easily above 40 in SW on high on the beta playing at 2560x1600. Combat was above 30 without a problem.

I tried to raid tonight with only Bartender and I bounced between 15 and 20 no matter how high or low my settings were set. As soon as combat started... I just plain froze. I didn't go to 1-3 fps. I froze and went to frames per hour... if that.

My guild went and did a bunch of achievements tonight. I had to sit out because I'm the only mac user.
