Topic Banaritaz, guess what I found.....
I was cleaning up and actually found a copy of your favorite poem Bana, I thought it'd been totally lost when my hard drive crashed a few years back. Since it'll probably vanish from the boards again next month, here you go...a stroll down memory lane to when 80 was the max....
Come my friends and gather near,
for I have quite a tale for you to hear.
T’was a Saturday night of no special mention
but Ironforge was a certain Undead Mage’s destination.
Banaritaz was how he was known to all the Horde,
a level 80 with better gear than most can afford.
Into the tram tunnel did he stride,
his ill intent he did not hide,
death to a guard and an npc,
then came the Alliance this enemy to see,
Death Knight and Mage of equal strength to him did fall
a slightly lower Paladin met the same heeding the call.
But then came what would be Banaritaz’s bane,
a level 40 gnome wizardess cool and sane.
The gnome watched and waited, biding her time,
Kirixie the gnome even waved, being friendly wasn’t a crime.
As she watched the Undead took on another guard npc,
and backed through the instance portal quick as could be.
The gnome got up and followed him in,
the battle of the revived 80s and the undead made a weighty din.
Ice and magic with blade and armor did clash
and it looked like Banaritaz might come out the winner of the bash.
Then a well placed icebolt shot out from Kirixie’s hand
and the crit nearly froze the 80 undead mage where he did stand.
The Alliance eighties took advantage of the frozen hesitation
and quickly began to reverse the situation.
From the small gnome the ice continued to soar
as the Horde’s Mighty Mage ran for the door
but before he could get away
one more fatal ice shot came his way.
The gnome was shocked and in great delight
checked the honor she’d earned in the fight.
The kill count was one, it was there to stay
with honor points awarded that way.
Though others helped, here it is for all to read,
t’was a level 40 gnome awarded for the mighty deed.
“Lies!” Banaritaz will no doubt proclaim, “There is no proof!”
But I’ll leave it to you to decide the truth.
