On the log in screen click the system button and see what everything's set too. It could have been reset. Blizz also said that this patch was gonna up the graphic haul so if you have an older graphics card it might not run as well.

my screen is flashing too. what kind of graphics card are you using? it seems that the new patch doesn't support the GMA X3100 graphics card, making objects disappear and flash black. does your cinematics flash as well?

I sure hope the servers come up soon. The patch took quite a long time to load and now it wont even let me play. Kinda like those silent fireworks if you ask me. All light and flash, but no substance. Well, at least until the servers come up . ^_^

Same exact problem for me. Pixels flashing everywhere. Game seems to run fine as far as FPS and Latency are concerned, but the same problem occurs in game. Reducing the graphics doesn't seem to help. Here are my computer specs:

This is my hardware overview. My desktop doesn't have snow leopard so I can't play on it yet, but my laptop is making everything stupid. login and cinematics flicker, but the real problem happens in game. Everything looks posterized and black with colored blobs. hopeless?

How old are those computers? Just wondering. I have a mid 2010 mbp and wondering if it'll get me through the next few years of wow like beyond mop

I'm having this problem as well. Yesterday I played with no problem. Today I can no longer play. Flashing, weird graphics. And the answer is get a new computer? My computer works extremely well in everything that I use it for. So get a new computer so I can play WoW? That is so very disappointing.

Exact same issue here. Im wondering if this is just a GMA x3100 issue or something else.

Is there no workaround for the graphics issue like there has been in the past? I remember having this issue about a year ago, but there was a workaround using textedit. I mean obviously there is no point in playing anymore if this problem remains, and I'm definitely not buying a new computer just to play WoW.
