The loss of theramore and the discovery of pandaria galvanized the alliance in a way that hasn’t been matched since the second war. As preparations for all-out war began, the leaders of each nation sent out a call to arms to their people in an effort to bolster their ranks. With patriotism running through the populace like a wild fire, recruits began pouring in from the outlying provinces of stormwind. With their homes now safe from the threat of bandits, orcs, and the dark. The young men of redridge, westfall and duskwood, Marched off to stromwind, and to war. The anger caused by the unprecedented destruction wrought on the alliance at the hands of the horde, drove these men and woman; drove them to want to fight, and to kill. Under the waning summer sun they left their families so that they could fight the darkness on distant battle fields, they thought their departure would secure their loved ones safety, they were wrong……

Not a month after the soldiers left, the worst winter that any had seen fell upon the hapless citizenry. Snow, that usually only fell in a light dusting unnaturally hammered the country side all the way from Duskwood, to the gates of Stormwind herself, and everywhere in between. The relentless weather, brought with it natural and unnatural threats alike. Dire wolves and giant spiders flee from both the weather and the darkness of Duskwood encroaching upon the forest of elwyn and the mountains of red ridge; frost cripples the fertile fields of west fall whose farmers were in the process of harvest causing famine across the land and worgen whom haven’t been sighted around dark shire since the cataclysm have once again begun to stalk he townsfolk.
The intense weather caused people to loose communication with each other, forcing the people who live on the outskirts of town to fend for themselves. It is in this darkness that people begin to go missing. In the major towns missing poster begin to clutter the bulletin boards silently imploring would be adventurers to come to their aide. Few answer the call, even fewer are seen again. Those who do swear to seeing dark figures roaming in the dead of night. In the bleak daylight hours, all that is seen are strange tracks in the snow that are quickly covered by father winter.
Alone scared and frightened the civilians gather together hoping that numbers will protect them from the darkness. Having sent all but the city guard to war, stormwind is all but powerless to stem the tide of darkness sweeping across the provinces…….

Ah, it takes place in Duskwood. You mentioned several places in your opening so I wasn't quite sure where exactly this was set. I might have to get a sign-up for this too, might be fun.

Name: Istella Kincaid
Race: Human (Stormwind)
Class: Paladin (hasn’t fully completed her training yet)
Istella is 5’9” and sturdily built. She has broad, muscular shoulders and seems to have a permanent tan which even darkens into a minor sunburn in places. Despite her young age, she already has crow’s feet beginning to form around her eyes; the kind you get from squinting in the hot sun for years on end. She has long black hair and brown eyes. On the inside of her left forearm, usually covered by her bracers, is a tattoo; just a sequence of plain black letters and numbers, running like a list down her arm. She wears a silver nose ring in her right nostril (mostly just to annoy her instructors and superior officers.)
Istella’s gear is an ill-fitting set of hand me down platemail that was made to provide a balanced combination of protection and mobility, at the expense of excelling at neither. She takes as good care of it as she is able, but it’s pretty old and worn. On the other hand, her silver-hilted hand-and-a-half sword and shield bearing the blue and white Stormwind crest are in immaculate condition. She always wears a Stormwind tabard over her armor.
Istella grew up dirt-poor on a small farm in Westfall. She had four brothers, one older and three younger. Times were lean, and her father got a job at the nearby mine in addition to working the farm. When she was eight, he was killed in a cave-in. Her youngest brother contracted pneumonia soon after and the family, having no money for medicine and unable to summon a healer, could do nothing for him as he grew sicker and died. Despite all of the family’s hardships, her mother is a very pious and faithful woman, who tried to pass those traits on to her remaining children. Instead, Istella grew up wild and resentful. When she was an angry, angsty teen, she fell in with the wrong crowd, and became a low-ranking member of the Defias.
One night she snuck out to participate in a robbery. Her mother discovered her missing and sent Istella's oldest brother (who had become the ‘man of the house’ since their father’s death) to find her and bring her back. When he caught up with them he argued with the man leading the group and tried to drag her home. There was a scuffle and the leader stabbed him in the back. Istella immediately turned on the Defias and killed the one who had injured her brother, the others ran. She tried to save her brother and managed to get him home, but it was too late and he bled to death shortly after they arrived. Guilt-ridden, Istella defected from the Defias, going to the authorities and giving them all the information she had on the organization.
A combination of crushing shame, her mother’s insistence, and the fact that the Defias were hunting her as a traitor made her go to Stormwind and apply to join the order of paladins in the city. There she is determined to turn over a new leaf, and somehow make up for what she has done. She trained in the Cathedral with the other paladin recruits under Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker. More recently, she has been sent out on different tours in both the Plaguelands and Northrend, often times working alongside the Argents.
Given that she has not quite completed her training, she has yet to be sent to the front in Pandaria or any the many other battlefields against the Horde. However, in light of how thinly spread the remaining military is, her commanders have dispatched her to Duskwood. They seem to feel that whatever is stirring up the local peasantry is probably not important or threatening enough to send a full-fledged paladin to investigate, so they opted to send one of their senior cadets in alone.
You call that brief?
@Dristis: Hello again, comrade! You have not been here in forever!
Name: Grishmak Hollowtree
Race & Gender: Male Worgen (stays in human form unless in a fight.)
Faction: Cenarion Circle, Alliance Ambassador
Personality: Grish is very kind to almost everyone, except for a select few who have earned his ire. He hates to see anyone hurt if he can help it, and will do his best to keep those around him uninjured. He is fiercely loyal to his friends, doing everything he can to protect them. He is usually slow to anger, though quick to intervene in any fights.
Description: In human form, Grishmak is rather tall, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He is lean, which only serves to add to his appearance of height, though there is nothing very notable about him. As a Worgen, Grishmak is even taller than he was, with short, blue-gray fur and glowing blue eyes. He is much more muscular in this form, and much more imposing, though he stays as a human most of the time, as he knows that many people aren't comfortable around Worgen.
-Armor: A set of leather armor, mostly brown and green, specially made for a druid. The armor reacts to his actions, darkening to a light black, with blue and red accents when he is fighting. The armor glows a faint purple. (Nordrassil Harness/Merciless Gladiator's Dragonhide)
-Weapons: Either a staff that periodically bursts into bloom with leaves, mushrooms or flowers, or a staff seemingly made of a single, large, very thorny vine entwined about a skull. (Staff of the Verdant Circle/Staff of Earned Tranquility).
-Other: An ancient spellbook, a gift that a friend of his found in Uldum. The book contains notes on spells and magic, among the notes Grish has himself made.
Companions: A spirit (or several, Grish isn't sure) has recently taken up traveling with him, being partly bound to the tome he was given in Uldum. The spirit is eclectic and unpredictable, often acting in ways the druid often finds odd. Nicknamed Varsuvius by Grish, (shortened to Suvi or just Vi) the spirit is only helpful in finding spells in the tome, and occasionally distracting attackers.
Grish also owns a Frostsaber, named Sally.
Brief Bio: An ambassador of the Cenarion Circle, Grish has traveled almost everywhere in Azeroth in their service. He doesn't talk much of his past before the Circle, and becomes silent when asked questions on the subject. He is reserved about his current life, dismissing it as 'nothing special'. However, the druid will cheerfully describe any of the missions or adventures he and his friends have been on (often referring to them as well-planned disasters).
Rather recently, he was part of a group that rescued some slaves of the Naga. One of these freed slaves was the mage Sairdna, who began to travel with him. The two have grown rather close.
Why are you here: After leaving Gilneas, Grishmak settled in Darkshire, though he keeps the reasons for the decision to himself. He has worked with the Night Watch before, as well as using his talents as a healer and alchemist to aid the town whenever he could.
With the heavy snow and unusual darkness closing over the land, the Druid thought it best to remain where he was, and continue to offer whatever aid he could to the people of Darkshire.
Name: Sairdna Runefire
Race & Gender: Female Blood Elf
Personality: Sairdna is unable to speak in more than a whisper, leading to her being rather withdrawn at times. She is very caring, and hates to see people fighting. She can be distracted when working on an invention, though is much more observant than most. Rather shy and wary of her own powers of magic, she usually stays quiet in a large group, though any engineering project will draw her very quickly.
Physical Description: Sairdna is tall and slim, with very pale skin. She has long brown hair, most often pulled back in a single ponytail, and customary glowing green eyes of a Blood Elf. She wears no make-up or jewelry, and is otherwise rather plain for an elf. While she prefers to use arcane or frost magic in a fight, Sai can and will use fire magic if she must (Though she is still working on her control).
-Armor: A simple black robe, adorned with intricate blue stitching (Netherweave Robe), brown cloth pants and a pair of black boots. A long, deep blue cloak hangs from her shoulders, and a pair of blue-lens goggles hangs around her neck. The sleeves of her robe are enchanted to work as storage space, removing the need for her to carry a pack of any kind.
-Weapons: A large iron-colored metal staff topped by a red crystal. Around it four other crystals float, two blue and two purple, leashed by magic. Different words are inscribed into the bases of the crystals. (Staff of the Arcane Path model, different colors) She also carries several explosives, of varying shapes and sizes.
-Other: Several engineering trinkets and things, along with a lot of spare parts. Sai always has one or two projects in progress.
Pets: Water Elemental
Brief Bio: Sairdna was released from long-term care only a few scant years ago, put there after the death of her parents due to a house fire. The cause is still unknown, as any questions on the subject caused her to shut down, and begin to hum an odd tune.
Having finally deemed the mage fit to take care of herself, Sairdna was released, and the elf has been traveling ever since, doing her best to see as much of the world as she can.
Just recently, Sai was saved from slavery to the Naga, and has since traveled with Grishmak. The two have become very close.
Why are you here: After being saved from the Naga, Sairdna decided to stay close to Grishmak. Over time, the two developed a relationship, and the Mage moved in with the Druid. Despite general wariness on the part of the villagers of Darkshire, she has worked to aid the town, though she mostly stays apart from them.
With Grishmak's decision to stay, Sai found herself unable to leave. Though she jokes about her reason being that the Druid always finds trouble, even with her around, she does worry that something may happen.
Horde are only alowd if there via a neatral organization, as Grishak is a high ranking member of the Cenarion circle it would possible to have the bloddelf be allowd, however it will be interesting too see how the bloodelf will be treated by alliance races :)
