Into the Darkness (OOC: Sign ups)
Race: red dragonflight –human disguise
Age: about 600, give or take a century.
Class: best class to describe her with would be a warrior
Description: Without armour or weapons? Naked.
Althmyst is much shorter than her night elf companion –but of course she is only human- coming in roughly at 5’8”. Her body contains a grotesque myriad of fine white scars, battle wounds from her past of absorbing so many hits from others. She actually quite likes them, finding they give her character, class. She’s quite buff for a woman, a result from her muscles honing after taking on so many heavy assaults, and wielding her sword.
Her hair is a fiery red, and light brown freckles sprinkle her face, and any other part of her skin that had come in contact with the sun. It is almost always worn up in a pony tail, for despite the length of time there has been peace, old habits die hard. Her face is perhaps one of the few areas of her body that lacks serious scaring, save for a small white scar beneath her left eye, running to her cheek bone –looking for the entire world like a permanent tear. It is her eyes that are strangest, though; a strange fiery amber colour. Whenever she looks at herself in the mirror, she is always drawn to that aspect of her face. Not the ‘cute button’ nose, or the freckles, high cheek bones, relatively small pink lips, or small chin... her eyes.
When Althmyst and Laviette had met, Althmyst was considered an aging drake, slowly pushing towards dragonhood.
As with the rest of her flight, ruby red scales decorate her entire, lithe body. While still not completely a full-grown dragon, Althmyst’s otherwise lean drake form has gained much bulk since entering drakehood. Her head has become wider, jaw slowly squaring and growing to accommodate much larger teeth, and large pointed bottom canines. Emerging from her chin are two small white spots, which will eventually grow to become small tusk-like horns. The horn on her nose has grown much as well, and behind it, a slightly smaller horn is merging with it. Horns had also been growing atop her head, and in these four years, have greatly, though have still yet to surpass the size of the three orange spikes running down her blackened neck scales. These spikes themselves have become darker in colour, taking on a red-orange colour. The black neck scales have hardened and now reflect light off their shiny pitch black colour. Along her jaw line, frills are beginning to form, as well as the frills running from the underside of her chin to her chest. Crystal-like spikes are beginning to form from her front elbows, the same deep red-orange colour as those running along her neck.
And, of course, she has grown much in body size to accommodate for all of these changes.

To help determine how the drakes grow from drake to dragon, and to give her a little more of her own look, like how Keristrasza has her own)
It is incredibly rare to see Althmyst out of her red chain-mail armour. Appearing almost like ruby scales, it coats her body like a second skin, only straying from the uniform red in the more flexible areas of the suit, where hardened black leather laced with intricate golden designs takes over. Rarely is the armour ever anything less than immaculate, for Althmyst takes amazing care of it, and whatever she can’t fix will be taken in to a blacksmith as soon as possible to be repaired. She’s almost never seen with a helmet on, however dark shades frequently cover her fiery eyes from curious stares.
On her belt rests a wavy-edged blade, the heart of which is –naturally- a dark red, and the hilt is adorned with small rubies. Her sword somewhat resembled a red dragon head, fanned by a plate wing. These gifts given to her by the red dragonflight are never far from her person.

Born in the frozen tundra of Dragonblight, Althmyst served much of her life there under the rule of her Queen, at Wyrmrest Accord. When the pressing matters of the Lich King, and the crazed blues seemed to come at their worst, heroes from the far reaches of Azeroth came to Northrend, and many –including Laviette- flocked to the cause of the Wyrmrest Accord.
The two fought well together, and grew such a bond, and Althmyst decided to leave her long time home, and journey with the night elf.
What the hell is a dragon doing here?
Althmyst follows Laviette wherever she goes. However, to be more descriptive, the pair returned for a short amount of time from Pandaria, with the intentions of taking a ship to Northrend. Upon arriving in the Eastern Kingdoms, they realized their help would be much better placed here.
Troll priests worship/draw their power from the Loa, not the Light. Similar to Kaldorei priestesses and Elune.09/02/2012 03:14 PMPosted by VikroThinking of signing up, would a Troll priest who's been exiled by the Horde, and now only serves the light, be acceptable?
Is it possible for there to be, oh, say a death knight from the Horde who, with the assistance of many other frost magi and death knights, conjured the blizzard to deliberately cut off supplies and communication between Alliance settlements?
Race: night elf
Description: Again, refer to “naked night elf”.
Laviette's body and form is much like that of all other night elves. She is lithe and lean. By nature, her race is tall, and compared to a human, Laviette is. However by night elf standard, she's considered just shy of the average height, coming in at an indiscernible measurement between 5'11” and 6' even.
To the younger mortals of Azeroth, the serene calm and sureness that Laviette attempts to exude can be imposing and authoritative, old, wise, and knowledgeable as common to her ancient race. However, to those of her age and greater, her youth shines through like a beacon, through both her actions and the lack of depth to her worry lines. It is clear, to the trained eye, that Laviette has yet to live the extent of her laughter, anger, and tears, and that many are yet to come.
As pretty as she is in night elf form, however, Laviette is a feral druid at heart, and more often than not, she will be either a nightsaber or dire bear. Laviette, though better adept to fight as a bear, tends to prefer her feline form. It is that of a white nightsaber, though not entirely pure. The ever so faintest traces of her purpley skin has tinted her fur, though in her opinion, it only adds to the distinguished look of a nightsaber druid.
The bear, her second most common form. Her short stature shows particularly in this form. Laviette finds it to be troublesome, particularly when comparing herself to the already-larger tauren bears. However what she lacks in size, she definitely does not lack in muscle, claws, or tooth. It is obvious that this is a bear can pack a punch, and can more than hold her ground against an enemy.
Laviette exclusively wears leather armour, with the exception of –of course- under clothes, and a blue cloth shirt made for her by her friend. There’s nothing particularly special about her armour, it is decorated in a similar fashion as most druid armour is, with delicate additions of green, and other earthy colours. Laviette tends to use staves, for their flexibility (in fighting, not literately). Though she has seen staves made out of all sorts of materials, her material of preference is wood.
However, being a feral druid by nature, any weapon other than tooth and claw seems more like a child’s tool in humanoid form.
She was born in Auberdine, and though it was rare for women, showed a particular affinity for druidism. She wasn’t necessarily looked down upon for it, however her practises of the art were rather unorthodox, and considering the night elves history and culture, it wasn’t entirely accepted. She was still relatively fresh in the ways of the druid when she left home to explore. First was the –then new- tree of Teldrassil, and the new city of Darnassus, and from there her adventures expanded throughout Azeroth, then to the soils of the ravaged Draenor, better known to Azerothians as the Outlands. From there, it was the frigid Northern wastelands in the aptly named ‘Northrend’.
In Dragonblight she met her first dragon, and suddenly the stories that had been told to her as a child about the dragonflights became real. She fought against the insane blue dragonflight, however before the final battle against Malygos, Laviette was severely injured. If it weren’t for her drake companion, Althmyst –the drake assigned to her for the battle, and the drake who she had fought with in both Coldarra and at Wyrmrest Temple- then she would have died. By all accounts, she should have died by the fetal blow to her torso; however once Malygos was defeated, Laviette’s ravaged body was brought before the Dragonqueen. After being healed, Laviette was to make a promise to Alexstrasza. In exchange for her life, she was to do everything in her power, to any extent, what she could to protect life –both on Azeroth and elsewhere.
Wait, what’s a druid doing here?
Taking a break from the action on Pandaria, Althmyst and Laviette had been returning to Northrend for a time. Upon their arrival in the Eastern Kingdoms, they realized that their help was more needed here, and so they stayed.
09/02/2012 01:31 PMPosted by JeramayanHorde are only alowd if there via a neatral organization, as Grishak is a high ranking member of the Cenarion circle it would possible to have the bloddelf be allowd, however it will be interesting too see how the bloodelf will be treated by alliance races :)
The current set-up I have in mind is that the people of the village don't really like the idea of a Blood Elf living there, but they tolerate her because of Grishmak's rank in the circle, as well as the work Sai and Grish do for the village.
Race: Night elf
Description (No armor or weapons): She stands 6’7” with deep blue hair against her light blue skin. She like her mother and aunt has silver eyes and a similar facial structure. She has yet to receive any form of facial tattoo. While she is not as toned as her aunt, Azurara is well endowed both physically and mentally.
Equipment (Weapons, Armor and everything else your character has): Azurara wears robes and soft cloth garments to cover her form. She carries a book of incantations and a staff with a glowing crystal at the end.
Brief History: Being born in Ashenvale 256 years ago Azurara has long since dreamed of travel beyond the forest she was raised in. She was content however to simply explore the forest and travel the beautiful woods with her cousins Rayara and Ithalia. Azurara was born an only child and was as close to her cousins as if they were sisters of hers as well. Recently she has been training in the arcane arts under the highborne, with the turmoil consuming her homeland she was sent to Stormwind to continue her training.
Why are you here? Azurara was learning from the humans in Stormwind with her Aunt Lynara when she received word of what was going on in Darkshire. She was sent there by her master and Lynara, worried for her safety, came as well.
Race: Night elf
Description (No armor or weapons): Lynara stands at 6’9”. She has light blue hair in contrast with her pink hued skin. Her hair runs down to her mid back in a braid. She has a large scar across her back, but other than that her skin has no visible scars. She has a well-toned muscular build from a lifetime of training and practice. Lynara has two lines crossing over each of her eyes.
Equipment (Weapons, Armor and everything else your character has): Lynara wears sturdy plate mail armor that is decorated from her years of service. She has a two handed great sword that she can wield to devastating effect as well as a dagger she keeps on her hip just in case. She has a satchel of bandages as well.
Brief History: Lynara has seen many conflicts, The War of the Ancients to the current war. She has served as a sentinel for millennia her mate having entered the Emerald dream long ago. She and her mate had three children, all daughters, together, Reyara, Ithalia, and Layara. She fought against the Orcs and humans before having to join forces with them against the Burning Legion, although she has respect for many humans she has no love for the orcs, and grew hateful of them when they killed her youngest daughter Layara.
She has about to leave the Sentinels and try to live the rest of her life in piece, but fate had other plans. Before she could she was summoned to join the defense of Theramore along with a large group of Sentinels. She left Theramore in search for the blood elf spy when Theramore was destroyed by Garrosh’s bomb. She has only grown openly hateful upon witnessing the horrific destruction the horde wrought against the city.
Why are you here? Lynara was with her niece Azurara Leafblade as she was being trained in the disciplines of magic. While she disapproved of her niece being trained in the art that nearly destroyed the world she loves her niece and supports her no matter what choices she would make. She has come to Darkshire along with her niece to protect her on this assignment.

If this priest was sent on behalf of the Argent Crusade he would be allowed to come, however, if he just a horde exile then he wouldnt be allowd wwith in the territories of the alliance.
@ Laviette accepted

The storm is not the work of the horde but of.... whoops almost let it slip :)
09/02/2012 06:49 PMPosted by GrishmakThe current set-up I have in mind is that the people of the village don't really like the idea of a Blood Elf living there, but they tolerate her because of Grishmak's rank in the circle, as well as the work Sai and Grish do for the village.
However much work Sai has done, the destruction of thermore at the hands of the horde, will undoubtedly cause many of the villagers to be intially hostile.
Just to point out, Darkshire is a backwoods human settlement- they aren't likely to care too much about what the Cenarian Circle thinks (having not been exposed to them) and having fought the worgen for so long, they aren't likely to be very friendly to their kind to begin with. Despite the revamp of the zone, there is only one Gilnean added to the town, and he even comments about the 'fear and suspicion' directed at him. Add that to the kind of fear (which tends to be more contagious than any disease) that would be running through the town during a situation like this and you are basically playing with matches in a powder room.
If it were just any random cenarion worgen bloodelf pair, then i would be inclined to agree. However since grish has been apart of the darkshire comunity, he will have a little more lee way, but not much.
I will leave the sign ups open for a little bit longer as we aready have a decent number of participants. The IC thread will probably be up by tuesday/wednesday.
P.S. if people are going to try and RP a death knight in the thread they will have to make a compelling reason for why they are there. Having death knights in the thread at this point in time just doesnt mesh with my game plaan for some reason.
The only thing is (and I'm trying really hard to put this nicely) I prefer to do RPs that are as realistic and believable (within the fantasy setting of WoW) as possible. This one hasn't even started yet and it has already gone far past my suspension of disbelief and reached immersion-breaking territory for me.
I wish you guys the best though.
