More problems with mac recording system.

So i fianlly got the recording to work. However this is what happened.

I record the video just fine.
It compresses just fine.
I can open the file in my WoW folder just fine.
However, i wont upload my own video but this person had the same problem and it basically looks like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK-SFrgjM0I

Only mine are a bunch of green and purple checkers. The video was only like 30 seconds long as i was just testing it out. Im using all the default recording options except that i turned manual compressing on.

My computer:

2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
8GB 1600MHz memory
750GB 5400-rpm hard drive1
Intel HD Graphics 4000
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory

Its only 2 weeks old. This computer does not have any hardware problems im sure. Its so new and ive hardly done anything with it.

I am having the same exact problem, and the specs on my iMac are very similar.

I have tried lowering video settings, recording settings, and using windowed and fullscreen mode.

I'm not certain what could be wrong.

Any ideas?

Well unfortunately all I can do is pile on with the same problem.

I have a mid2010 iMac with similar specs (not quite as good but close) and when I try to record I get a similar bad checkerboard response. It is hard to explain but is basically just static sqaures, nothing that looks like game screen.

Additionally I have recorded that last two tiers of raids using my iMac so I am pretty comfortable with the software and never had a problem until the recent patch. I have also read many posts and have not been able to find solutions. I have tried both 64 bit (which does not support recording at all) and 32 bit clients. I have tried lowering the resolution, framerate, and lots of stuff and none work. I thought I read somewhere about windowed mode so I have tried windowed mode as well.

Any help our pointers would be appreciated by many especially before MoP so hopefully I could be ready for the next tier. Thanks!

You are not alone in this issue, it is also happening for me in the beta client.

I've seen several reports of this. For those of y'all having this issue, can you please post some additional system information, if you have not done so already?

    1. Launch World of Warcraft and log in.
    2. Put World of Warcraft into Windowed Mode if it is not already in Windowed Mode.
    3. From the system menu bar, select Help > Copy Support Information: http://i45.tinypic.com/foodww.png
    4. Paste the contents of the copied system information here (Command-V)

I'm having the same issues since 5.0.4 became available. I thought that after 5.0.5 would fix it, but it did not. Ran my client without add-ons with default settings, problem persisted.

I just did a re-installation of WoW with the MoP disks, tested 32-bit client with the default settings, problem still persists, unable to render a viewable video file, audio seems to be fine other wise.
