As disappointing as it is to see a mentor guild give subpar advice, it was one mistake that shouldn't happen again if the people answering those kinds of questions go looking for the right answer (Or at least, the best answer) if they're not sure. I think you're fixating on it a little too much.
Also, even if people don't like the guilds that are chosen, the program only runs for 4 months.

I think we should get together as a community and if the mentor guild is doing something wrong we can fix their mistakes. It's actually not that big of an issue now that things have settled down a little bit.
Sure the guild that was elected doesn't shell out the best advice but I'm sure we can work around it. Idk what we were all expecting out of Ravencrest anyways.
Basing an accusation off a single account when there are MORE than enought people in the guild who know what they are doing. I'm pretty sure i can give sound advice on just about any class, style of play, raid from any expansion etc.., Google can do the same..
Am I qualified?
And the point of the Mentoring guild was to welcome new players so people who start out with no one, have someone to work with who has a good understanding of the game and can coach. Not turn a n00b in to a top tier raider over night. thats what the game is for. I'll give you an example. I started out back about helf way through Vanilla and when i first started I started alone (forever Alone...). I lost intrest in the game and stoped playing about 3 weeks in and went back to Pristontale/Guildwars. But then I meet some people who played jumped on and played for a while... just 6-7 years. The point is, Blizzard is just trying to make a better welcome mat for new people. Not get them clearing endgame in a week.
