Hey Sexy, Are you getting bored with Dragon Soul? On Cooldown brings you 8 sessions on how to have fun with your raids and try some new stuff on every boss.

Part 1 - Morchok - Hunter pet tanking Morchok.

This is kinda cool for hunters. We have been 1 tanking heroic DS for a bit now and instead of just stacking them on Morchok we discovered something really cool last night on our alt run. Dalloden was on his hunter and we were waitin around for one of our raiders so we decided to 9 man heroic morchok. All credit for discovering this goes to Dal, here's what we did.

Split up into 2 groups group 1 will be your hunter, and two healers. Group 2 will be everyone else. Hunter pulls Morchok with his pet in tank mode, noone dps Morchok until he splits into two except for the hunter so that they dont pull threat off of the pet. When they split, group 2 goes to the left side on Kochram group one stays on Morchok. The hunters pet will keep aggro, and the hunter and healers take the crystals on Morchok side, any three take the crystals on the other side. Burn Kochram down and then finish Morchok. Hunters make sure that your pet keeps aggro and that you move him when needed so the boss will come close enough to the crystals for the shared stomp. Pets take 90% reduced damage from aoe effects so they stomps do not hurt them, the melee hits on the pet are minor. *Newman is the best.

Part 2 - Yor'sahj

All and all a pretty boring fight once everyone knows what to do here. There are a couple things you can do to amuse yourself on this fight though.

Healers - 1 heal it. Or let all 4 oozes go through everytime and challenge yourself to adapt and find a way to heal though it. Green, Blue, Purp, Black is really fun, as is Green, Red, Yellow, Black. Just spread out in a circle 4 yards apart around the boss, with purp single tar big heals only. Without it go nuts on heals, its a blast.

DPS - Send 2 DPS only to an ooze, leave the rest of the group on yor'sahj, after ooze goes down pop hero/stormlash and burn the boss before the next oozes are absorbed.

Tanks - Try to learn maxing your dps on certain fights. With the Venegence cap gone you can pull insane numbers.

Part 3 - Zon'Ozz

Try this next time you fight him. 2 heals, one tank. Split up into two groups, Noone runs out to get cleansed, you just heal through the debuff dmg as its very minor. Let the boss absorb the ball at 10 Stacks, No dps switch to flails or claws, tank pull boss to the claw, everyone stacks on the boss and claw, pop hero/stormlash/cds and kill the boss right there before he goes into another ping pong phase. If he does, just have a mage or priest go out and bounce the ball back.

Part 4 - Hagara

This fight doesnt let you have too much fun as the design doesnt let you change your strategy too much. 1 tank 2 heals. Burn boss, ppl can solo soak ice lances now. Execute whatever phase she gives you, if its frost you should be able to kill all crystals in one pass now, or you can choose to stack your group in the mid and let ranged dps them all down heal through the dmg. Go back on boss, pop all cds stack up behind her hero, when ice lances come out throw out a smoke bomb and kill her before the next phase. Our players like to gamble, we often make gold bets on random things, one of the things you can do for lightning phase is have 2 groups of 2 players for conductors, each group takes one side, make a bet before the fight as to which 2 players will finish their side first.

Part 5 - Ultraxion

Faceroll this with one tank, one healer. Tank wait until the last possible moment to go out for fading light so your dps dont get owned. Hopefully your rogue will be the next highest threat and can pop evasion if needed. Kill ultrax before 3rd Hour of Twilight if noone dies.

Part 6 - Warmaster Blackhorn

Do you have balls? I enjoy balls on this fight. This is good to see how good your raiders are at adapting and awareness. Bring as many Heavy Leather Balls as you can to this fight, or just one. Whoever ends the fight with the most heavy leather balls (or ball) loses. Another good game for gambling.

Use 1 tank, 2 healers on this fight as well. But wait how do you tank Warmaster Blackhorn with 0 armor? Dont die. Save hero for Goriana and burn him quick before you tank dies. Its a race against time. 5 sunders = 0 armor... I think.

3rd Plate Pots/DPS cooldowns, kill tendon in one up.

Part 8 - Madness of Deathwing

1 tank, 2 heals. The most fun you can imagine having on this fight. Bring in a guild member or a pug who hasnt ever done or seen heroic madness before. Tell them the only differences are on the head with the congealing bloods. Do not tell them about the corrupted parasite....Then you wait. Hopefully that player gets the corrupting parasite on them. Start yelling at them in vent to "Get the cinders!, What the hell are you doing." and watch them panic. Its great. Just make sure you dont stand near them when it goes off.

Heres how we do the fight now, its pretty faceroll but can still be fun. Green>Red>Yellow>Blue. Hero and burn the first mutated corruption. First corrupted parasite drop next to the mutated corruption so it can be cleaved. Go on the wing/arm, burn it, kill the tenticles, then kill bolt. Everyone stack up on the claw again, the second corrupted parasite, drop it in the back of the bubble away from the group on red and green platforms and you can just ignore it and let it blow up as it will get low enough health from Alexstrazas dmg. The second one on Yellow and Blue just drop it right on the claw. On yellow and blue single target the first set of blistering tenticles, then ignore the 2nd set and heal through the damage as you push the arm/wing tenticle low enough. DW head, push him to 18% and kill the fragements, then kill the terrors, push the head to 15%, kill congealing bloods, pop hero, push to 10% kill bloods, push to 5% kill bloods, kill deathwing.
