Ok so I just built a new PC about a month ago and still cant get over how awesome it is. So I want to compare PC's with my fellow WoW players. I will post pics soon but not now because my room is badly lit so I need to find a way to luminate it so you guys can see the beast..
But here goes.
Cooler Master R HAF Advance Full Tower
i7 3770k ivy bridge (soon to be OC when I get liquid cooling)
16 GB Kingston hyperx RAM
120 GB OCZ SSD
1.5 TB WD HDD
800W OCZ PSU
GTX 680 2GB (AWESOME)
Windows 7 Home Premium
23" Samsung 1080p LED 120hz monitor
Steel series crappy keyboard
Razer Naga Expert MMo
So what you think?
90 Night Elf Hunter
Amd Athalon 3200 + (single core proc)
2 gig of OK ddr ram (for that time)
Nvidia geforce 7600 256 meg agp (Yes, 256 meg AND AGP)
Whatever gigabyte nforce motherboard
a 300 gig (or something ) SATA hard drive (the newest part)
OpenSuse linux 12.1
Having virtually no problems patching, or running, Wow with 5.04 (when windows users, on power house computers had so many problems ):
Phenom II 965 @ 4215mhz (~1.52v)
XSPC RASA waterblock, X2O 750 pump/res, RS240 rad
EVGA GTX-570 SC (reference-style) @ Classified clocks (benches >900... but is so loud like that =P)
8gb Mushkin Redline DDR3-2133 @ 1686 7-9-8-24 1T (2740mhz NB)
Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 120gb SSD (Toggle-mode flash makes me smile)
WD RE2 500gb (SATA II, 7200rpm)
Crosshair V Formula mobo
Cooler Master Centurian V case (too small, but has a window and supports H2O if you have power tools =D)
Windows 7 Professional x64
And that, gentlemen, is how you build an i3-2100 the hard way. :)
But whatever, 5.0.4 defaults to ultra.

Phenom II 965 @4000mhz(stock voltage)
Antec Kuhler 620 self contained liquid cooling unit
ASrock M3A770 motherboard
8GB(2x4GB) G.Skills Ripjaws 1633 memory
120GB Adata SSD
300GB Western Digital HDD
Antec 900 case
in the works:
upgrade to Antec 1200 case
upgrade to antec kuhler 920 liquid cooling unit
upgrade to ASrock Fatal1ty 990FX Professional mobo
upgrade to dual MSI Twin Frozr Radeon 7850 video cards in Crossfire
then i'll be cool and can hang out with plusfour. kalganized can't come because he likes intel!
Psh, that's silly...
But srsly, if your 965 does 200x20 @1.4v and you're getting the Fatal1ty board.... then yes, we should probably hang out. ;-)
I'm looking at an upgrade soon, but:
Pentium dual-core e2160 (original Core2 era Allendale) @ 3.1ghz
Radeon 4870 @ 820/1020(4080)
Only 3gb of ram on Vista 32-bit (this is an issue)
Aside from the page-file swapping I get decent enough frame rates on high/ultra settings: 25-50fps in cities and 45-90fps in the world, depending on what's in view.
Probably looking at an Ivy Bridge Pentium or i3 upgrade with 8 or 16gb of ram and a deal on a card...maybe a geforce 560. I try to spend no more than $100 on any single item for the comp, because I know how fast things get outdated.
If I'm ultra lazy and don't upgrade until Steamroller is out...I'll consider it depending on benchmarks b/c I'd love to support AMD...if the performance meets i3, I may do it.
