That whole tier of talents just seems not so amazing atm.


Well that means you've forced them to use CC on it, which can be a bit more advantageous than straight damage in certain situations especially as you have control over when it's utilized.

The whole, not sticking due to dispels....dispels stop the FDCL as well lol, and get your 4 piece, dispels are no longer a big issue.

It's still not worth it, due to the narrow window of when you can use it, you may be line of sighted at the time, or healing, or silenced, etc etc, and it's just not often enough compared to FDCL. And I sorely missed the free insta flash heals, as well.

Even with your 4 Piece teams can still freely dispel it. Yeah they take a little penalty for dispelling it but it effectively shuts down your chance to generate any real burst and become a lucky threat. Other times they can just choose to heal the lackluster damage and CC you when you have any chance to Burst. The amount of time it takes to Generate some of our burst can be staggeringly long. But if they choose to keep dispelling because their team is spread then there isn't much we can do. In most of my longer matches I watched teams just ignore me and let me freecast while DoTs were dispelled constantly which removed any chance for me to generate any burst with FDCL or Even make it to use Insanity. The only thing I can see actually protecting us would be to play Shadowplay and have UA+VT on Targets and then Insanity might actually be better than FDCL. The fact is unless their healer is a Disc Priest most people above 20% are 1 heal from full health.

this has been my experience as well.

skilled players spread out and let you dot anything, cuz zomg 8 k damage from 2 dots that take 2 seconds to apply is nothing.

SW:I is great now that it was buffed. Used it with ToF and Cascade on Elegon and was topping meters easily. 400k Insanity crits? Hell yeah.

I'll also start picking it over FLDC anytime I can multi dot because it's absurd damage.

FDCL offers mobility as well which is invaluable in both PVE and PVP. And it also works with Flash Heal incase you need to pop out a few, Shadow Priest heal surprisingly well. (which is why they are really useful in challenge modes)

Look at the numbers, though. SW:I does more damage than mind spike at 150% (and are you really gonna wait for 2 stacks?)

15% proc means an average of 8 ticks of 3 seconds each (without haste). Which means there's a fair possibility that it won't even tick on each cast of VT.

On the other hand, SW:I will always proc after 15 seconds of SW:P being applied. It's dependable. And it deals more damage than Mind Blast.

Well I was considering this from a pvp standpoint. And SW:I is great in pvp.

Use once every 18 seconds!? Do you really only have one SW:P up at any given moment?

It's useless in PvP. Good players dispel all your DoTs consistently. Even in Arena with your 4 Piece bonus it's useless to have as nothing will stick long enough. Your damage is lackluster and can be healed through at any time even if they allow you to cast insanity. You'll understand at level 90 when you find people crit healing for 300k+
