Kraùs, in game currency (i.e. Gold) is only tradeable for in game items (like gear, materials, etc).
Out of (WoW) game currency (whether real life currency, like USD, Pesos, or Yen, or virtual currency like D3 Gold) can only be traded for other out of game items (like TCG loot card codes or an expansion from a friend or something). This sort of trade is for out of game currency for in game currency, which is against the ToS. If you still plan on taking such actions (which I wouldn't recommend), I'd highly recommend NOT putting it on Blizzard's official forums (as well as official fansites such as MMO-Champion or Wowhead). |

Weird, I've been seeing people do this all the time

Illegally, yes. Out of game currency = anything other than WoW gold. In game currency = WoW Copper, Silver, and Gold (The currency versions of each, only. This does not include Copper/Silver/Gold ores or bars). So, yeah, it's an illegal trade. You're more than welcome to ask Blizzard if you think that's false. It'd be kind of a gray area since both currencies are Blizzard's, but I still think they'd go with a red flag instead of a green one. |

Illegally, yes.Well, since you were very specific, I figured I'd troll the details. I'm pretty sure there aren't any laws or statutes being broken by his original post. It's probably against ToS, but not illegal. |
Bad troll, bad. |
