So this just in.
http://wow.joystiq.com/2012/10/04/world-of-warcraft-population-swells-over-10-million-mists-of-pa/ They managed to sell 2.7 million Mists and supposedly are back up to 10 Million Subscribers, it will be interesting to see the next report when they announce how many concurrent subs they lost and Annual Pass holders. I'm pretty sure w hen the figures hit about the losses, my guess the 2.7 Million will be considered petty cash with the real loss they will endure. However 2.7 is still a loss compared to what other expansions sold, so those cancelling the MOP orders did have an impact. I guess there is nothing left to do but say it's been fun and good luck Bliz, because if they honestly have people praising broken game play, bugs and broken transition into zones they are welcome to that gamer base who will accept what I consider inferior mechanics. |

Yeah. Minfernal and Giraffe Calf have been unmanageable for me courtesy of CRZ. :(

I know, the fox kit was a pain to get I got lucky. I hope it gets better for you. |
Maybe I'll go finish it before my AP runs out then. TY for the info.

2.7 in the first week of Mists compared to 2.8 copies of WotLK in the first 24 hours and 3.3 copies of Cata in the first 24 hours.
I'm not saying Mists is bad, there's tons about it that I like. But with CRZ and the two major gear snaffus this week I think it's clear there are some problems. |
Courtesy of CRZ a lot has become unmanageable for many. I feel for a lot of ppl on the game. So many love it but due to CRZ it's become too much of a hassle to bare. Our group discussed and decided to stay til our accts were due and if there is no change to CRZ we'll all unsub. That's almost 20 accts that will be gone due to a blunder on Blizz's part. Small but still gone non-the-less of loyal WoW players whom would rather stay if Blizz would only listen.

2.7 in the first week of Mists compared to 2.8 copies of WotLK in the first 24 hours and 3.3 copies of Cata in the first 24 hours. I'm not either Mists is suppose to be visually stunning, sadly the bugs that come with their cost saving feature just really detracts from what should have been a stellar release. When the final numbers come in to tally the lost subs, annual passes I truly wonder if Blizzard will feel the cost savings were worth it. |
Servers just went down again for maintenance. Every time they do this I wonder if this will be the time they finally do something about the CRZ. I know it is wishful thinking but after almost 9 years of playing this game I really am clinging to a last ditch hope that I won't have to rename my guild and turn it over to someone who wants it and cancel my account. I have put a lot of hard work into establishing the largest and friendliest guild on the server (not to mention the now oldest one surviving). The fact that something so simple is causing such devastation is mind blowing. Why will blizzard at the very least not respond??!!!

Because that would be admitting hey we screwed up sorry :(
They wouldn't do that but what they could do is say due to all of the exploitation of the CRZ feature it has been disabled until these area's can be addressed and fixed but i doubt that will happen either, at least i can hope ^_^ Remove the CRZ, fix it properly, bring it back or just scrap it as a failed experiment either outcome would make me happy and you'd keep a lot of subs instead of losing the ones you just gained and a bunch of the old hands floating around here. /Prays to the Blizz gods while sacrificing all the goats in the region |

However, if it's about a PvP leveling a lowbie on a PvP server, then I've got no sympathy. You (as a player) rolled on a PvP server to play on a PvP server, and you've got to deal with that choice or go reroll on a PvE server. I rolled on a pvp server because I wanted to fight players my own level, or close to it. As someone said, this game is, basically, a huge grind, and pvp adds some excitement to that. However, I did not roll on a pvp server to be continually ganked by people I can not possibly fight, people who swoop in on me on superfast mounts, kill with one shot, then leave...if I'm lucky, and if they don't decide to wait around and kill me again once I've resurrected. The incidence of such behavior has gone up dramatically since MoP. A level 90 ganking on a level 30 is not player vs player in any realm. It's pointless slaughter which leaves the lower level player frustrated and furious. |
So I've restrained from saying anything because while I am not a fence-sitter (I do have my opinions on CRZ), I can see both sides of the issue.
But what I wanted to point out is this: Mine is a medium pop server. I spent about three hours on this morning before restarts, going through multiple zones and guess what? Not ONCE was I on my own server! What gives? I picked my server for a reason. If I wanted to play on Feathermoon or Scarlet Crusade or any of the others that I've seen in the past few days, I would have rolled there. I fear that this is the beginning of a slippery slope straight into the one realm structure of EVE. |

I don't know how to tell specifically what server, but if you click on the clock under your minimap, you can change the settings so that it displays your realm time instead of your local time.
So I'll echo your question: Anyone else know how to tell what specific realm you're on? |
That's half of the problem you don't know what realm your on ever. Jumping time zones is fun it reminds me of Quantum Leap. Yep i'm totally Iggy.
Regardless it doesn't change the fact of all the exploitation and bugs going on in the game even though MoP area's are cut off from CRZ at the moment, Realid is still enabled and its quite the improvement over that disjointed jumbled mess happening in all the Vanilla - Cataclysm zones. I wont list them all, i've covered quite a few in previous posts, and David made quite the comprehension list in the original CRZ thread that i completely agree with. |
I seriously cannot quest without having a high level toon nearby because of this. It it really pissing me off to the point that i'd really like to have my money back!

Posted by Snakefinger Any links to back it up? Any official person tell you that we can go back and ask? This is the problem with your posts, Brannoch, lack of evidence to support your claims. You come across sounding all articulate but really you're not saying anything. It's a waste of your efforts and my time to continue reading. You say nothing over and over again and guess what? It's still nothing. What's that got to do with anything. Until we hear from Blizzard, that's just guesses and hearsay. The crux of this issue isn't whether there's ganking, griefing, horrible waits for respawns, impossibility of completing certain aspects of game-play. The main issue is the silence from Blizz and their apparent lack of consideration of their player base, the ones that pay their paychecks. I keep thinking in the back of my head that maybe the dev's are out of juice and don't want to try to come up with any more. That they're letting WoW die seems reasonable in this light. As several people have pointed out, this is an 8 year old game, its technology is dated, it's not as shiny and pretty as newer games with better tech, and really, how much longer could it go on? The only thing I've been asking for, and what many other posts on this thread are calling for is a simple response. Conjecture is pointless - we've all been doing it to death. Arguing and nitpicking back and forth about nothing. THERE IS NO INFORMATION. THERE IS NO POINT. I refuse to stress myself out over it. I'll be checking back for blue posts and watching PR, but that's about it. It's a dead issue until Blizz responds. |
If you know the IP of each realm you can look at that to determine it, but considering that someone got banned for using that info to block CRZs I wouldn't be shocked if they tried to outlaw looking at where you are too. |
