Why, oh, why, doth the AH now reek of dung?
|
The Arygos Ally auction house was one of the best among all servers during Cata. But in the early days of Mists, the selection is poor, the prices are either depressed (if you're selling) or outrageously high (if you're buying), and there are next to no transactions going on. Is this going to be something that continues into the future? I need to know whether to roll professions alts so I can get just one measly healing potion requiring a user toon level lower than 35, or a weapon enchant scroll that doesn't cost 3,000 gold and require an ilevel 525 weapon. Not to mention Rumsey's Black Label if I ever get around to doing BGs, because there suddenly ain't none of that on the AH, either. Anybody know?

I sell stuff on the AH, just like a ton of other people. Just like you, in fact, Cadena. But there are certainly differences between us. I don't hide the identity of my AH alts; I own up to them freely and tell people if they ask. I give away tons of gold and gems and enchants to random strangers to help make their game a little better. I charge market rates for my goods. I've singlehandedly brought the price of glyphs down for the entire realm right at the MoP launch. I don't get !@#$faced drunk and ramble at people in trade. I could go on and on... Ever been on a bus or tram in Europe and seen those crazy people talking to themselves on that corner bench, waving their arms around while everyone ignores them? That's you. Arygos's own village idiot. To end in the immortal words of police chief Grady: desperation is a stinky cologne. I've never called you out, but you continually talk %^-* about me. This is the last reply you'll get, so savor it. I'm done with your trollin'...got some alts to level :) |

I believe the point being made was something along the lines of, "You're complaining that prices are high, your guild master practically runs the auction house, ask him".
But I may be way off base, given the giant defensive reply. |

Why do you people insist on being the absolute slime of this realm?

The Auction House is a free market.. It just amazes me how much effort these guys put and how many accounts they have just so they can undercut and sell stuff.. Seems like a gold selling operation to me when someone needs that much gold. Only thing I dont like are bots. I do suspect bots are involved.. Anyone that has more evidence should submit to blizzard for investigation.

Mitchi, we are competing against each other in the cloth contender business.... >.>
P.S. I dont undercut, i match current prices. |

Matching prices is one thing, Multi-boxing is one thing. But to be up for 24 hours a day, have some kind of time-loop macro so your toon doesnt afk out. Well, that's another thing. LMAO add those names to your friends list for a day. They never log out, sign in and out at the same time. What is even better, LMAO each toon has a different personality if u whisper them and they respond. I guess it depends on what nationality is working that shift. Botting I do suspect I agree with Mitchi. But to have that much gold, and be on for 4 days straight with no sleep. I think someone is paying RL bills with Wow gold. I'm surprised this conversation about them did'nt start earlier.

This reminds me of my BC days, I had 2 accounts both with max char limit for a server and the gold cap back when it was like 214k, i got banned because people like you were complaining about me "gold selling/buying". Without actual proof of illicit behavior like them OFFERING you gold for money, you have absolutely no reason to b**** and moan. Like Mitchi said, The AH is a FREE MARKET, meaning that they can do what they want in order to make in game money. I'm not advocating for bots or gold sellers, this is strictly for people working the AH the best way possible in order to maximize profits legally. Problem? Then learn to do it yourselves and stop crying.
Possibly get Auction Addons to find best prices if you are buying. Also, stop linking this forum thread to the general chat, if you can't fight your own battles get off the forums. |

you sir did not read all of mitchi's post... go back to whatever realm you were on in BC . Because your name doesnt ring a bell. prolly another baddie.

this is awesome. this whole thread started bc someone in Hostile complained about ah prices. So i asked him if he knew who his GM was. And that he should ask him for help. Then it turns into Im the crazy guy on a europian subway ( go figure). Then it goes into. HOLY ALTS !!!!! GALORE. I thought i was bad at 10 85's............... that list up there is absurd

Just followed up on this thread now, and it seems to have gone totally off the rails. I don't know anything about the internecine stuff going on between the long-timers here. I'm a quiet member of the guild who minds her own business and doesn't get involved in anything. All I was asking was whether the AH can be expected to improve any time soon or not. From the look of this conversation, apparently not, so thanks for the answer.

I heard there was gold being given out to make people's game play better? I'm actually just here for that. Thanks :)

lol this person is complaining about the Alliance AH house really?!?!... apparently they haven't seen the horror that is the Horde AH on Arygos. There are stories of people passing out at the sight of the prices and lack of items on it. I've even seen a person run screaming at how bad it is.

You should try it. It sure beats freaking out over an auction house all day. Cadena and I will probably be black out in trade again tonight just to make you happy :) /hi5 Cadena |
