This kinda bothers me. I feel like over the years I've played WoW I've watched threat get nerfed more and more. Now it never bothered me, because I never tanked until now.
But back when I first joined, the roles (as I saw it) was the tank, who tries to hold threat on all the mobs/follow mechanics of the fight for tanks while using avoidance cooldowns when necessary, the healer whose job it is to keep the TANK up and only try to heal the dps that take damage because they didn't avoid a mechanic. And then the dps, who's job it is to kill the boss and follow the mechanics of the fight to avoid damage.
Now it seems like blizzard is shifting towards the tanks role being work to keep themselves alive, while the healers job is to keep the whole raid alive and the dps's job is to dps.
I don't know if I like the new direction.
