Pre- Raid Stats Help

My guild is doing our first raid of the Xpac tonight, a trail raid since were all not fully geared, I cant seem to find anywhere on the forums to see what stats I need, parry, dodge wise, I know in Cata the dodge and parry had to be around the same, now I am hearing that parry should be twice as much as dodge and that we need expertise now, can anyone help me out or send me a link please. I know that I am not enchanted yet, but was planning on doing it before the raid, just in case I can get new gear

DO NOT GEM STRENGTH. While it is true that one point of strength is equal to .98 of parry after the stats buff (and also provide bonus AP through the AP buffs, with the buffed AP being apply to apply to Word of Glory and Shield Barrier, not the base AP from the strength, though), Parry gems offer 2 times the amount of strength, thus making Parry gems superior for survival and avoidance over strength gems. See  Bold Primordial Ruby and Flashing Primordial Ruby.As well, most enchants offer 1 to 1 points between strength and parry, so you can feel free to switch a parry or dodge enchant for a strength enchant, provided they are about equal in stat points. |
