Upon reaching revered with golden lotus the same thing happened as when I hit honored. The quests were bugged, and I couldn't advance. This quest will not start the event to let you past the first set of bars. You can drop the quest and the bars go away, but upon picking it back up you can't advance. I saw reports of this from beta three months ago, how is it possible this isn't ready to go for live.

This is twice now my grind has been brought to a screeching halt by quest bugs.

not bugged at all had the same problem and you must turn in the quest "A Celestial Task" first and quest can be completed as it was intended. Hope this helps some others frustrated with this.
