I've been looking at buying a gaming PC from IBuyPower. I currently play on a newer iMac that has an ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB. It runs okay but I'd love to have a proper gaming card.

Trouble is, they give you wayyy too many options for customizing for someone like me who has no idea how to compare. The package comes with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 - 1GB but from what I've been able to learn, that's not a great gaming card.

Here is the massive list of options I can choose:

AMD Radeon HD 6450 - 1GB [-$1]
AMD Radeon HD 7750 - 1GB More Options[+$59]

I'm willing to spend up to $150 extra on a good card. Any advice? Without being overly technical? I want to be able to run WoW and other games on Ultra settings with very good FPS but I'm not a hardcore raider or anything so I don't need the best of the best.

Thanks.

The best bet is likely the 7850 @ $166 with free upgrade to 7870. That's roughly equivalent performance to getting the 660 ti for $260, and it'll roflstomp the 560 @ $150.

The one I'm looking at is an Intel i5 3570K. Also the standard power supply that comes with the package is 200W but it suggests I upgrade to at least 500W if I get the 7870.

Changed my mind now, think I will be going with this system instead: http://media.ncix.com/ncixpc/eblast-Vesta-09142012/index.html

That set up you have there isn't bad; it has a nice PSU, a decent graphics card, and an SSD. The 660 has much less overclocking potential than the Radeon 7870, however that is not an issue if you will not overclock.

Strange they have a aftermarket CPU cooler with a non OC CPU though.

I have noticed that the gtx 680 performs beyond expectations in wow, and my wife's gtx 580 works great also.
