Powerleveling

Hello.

I just read through the TAC and PvP Server Policies again and I have two quick questions.

Is 'Powerleveling' exploiting a glitch?
Also, is setting up fights allowed? <-- I have done this.

Thanks in advance!

if you powerlevel by yourself without account sharing its perfectly fine.

setting up fights...you mean duel tournaments or ...

whatever this is, it probably is allowed. right now the only thing not allowed is in-game gambling, although every few years they legalize it briefly.

For example:
A person wants to fight me on Horde, we agree to fight, so...
Horde vs Alliance 1 on 1.

This is fine, provided you guys actually actively fight each other, not just take turns beating up on each other while the one getting beat on just stands there doing nothing.

If he attacks you, and you do nothing to fight back so that you die quickly, and he gets the HK and honor points. Then you attack him, and he does nothing to fight back so that he dies quickly, and you get the HK and honor points. THEN that's not so good and people have had minor consequences for such things if they exploit it.

Powerleveling is perfectly fine, as long as it's you on your account, someone else on their account, and they're escorting you through content you are too low to survive on your own.

Also, if you have two WoW accounts and you duel box them in a powerleveling situation (same as I just described only you are controlling both characters), that is also fine.

If by "powerleveling" you mean giving your account to someone else to level your characters for you (whether you pay them or not), then that's account sharing which is a HUGE violation of the ToU and EULA and could result in a perma-ban for your account.

Ah, thank you.

I only killed him once (I think) and he got ganked a few times then I got killed once (I think) by his friend and then, he and his friend got killed a few times. xD

let's put it this way...you can't accidentally slip in the illegal with this 1v1 stuff.

if one of you kills the other 15,000 times hen there's a problem. if you fight 5 times or 10 or 20 or 50 or 100... nobody has a problem with it.

edit: little-known fact for new players but if you want you can DUEL the horde player. you don't need to fight him to the death if you know him and just want to fight.

/duel while targetting him will initiate a duel.

Thank you.

I also didn't know about the duel trick. xD
